Situated just down the coast from Looe, Polperro is an extremely pretty fishing village with narrow streets lined with quaint shops and restaurants. Possibly not as well-known as Looe but similar in its layout, with small fishing harbour and tightly packed cottages on the hillside, it’s a great location for a day out.
In June, Polperro holds an annual 9 day festival with a craft fayre, live music, comedy nights and a festival procession on the Saturday. With local pubs hosting folk and rock music, the festival atmosphere extends into the evening and the week ends with ‘Gig on the Green’.
The festival is completely free to attend so make sure you visit this beautiful part of Cornwall to experience Polperro at its best.
