Stargazing with Kernow Astronomers

Take a look at the Cornish skies in a different light with Kernow Astronomers’ fabulous free event, featuring displays, talks and telescopes as you discover a world of astronomy at a gorgeous north Cornish locale. And if the weather isn’t permitting, then the barn restaurant will be the place for discussion, along with seasonal soup, cakes and hot drinks.
You can also celebrate World Book Day at the same venue with story-telling, bookshop, and paper craft activities (9th & 10th March, 11am-3pm).
Roo’s Big Fashion Feast Night

Cornish Gin and Drinks Festival

The first event of its kind will welcome you with a complimentary first drink and free souvenir glass before walking you through Cornwall’s innovative and uber tasty world of top tipples, from gin makers to wineries, distilleries and breweries as you sample a mix from Tarquin’s and Curio to Rock, Holly’s, St Ives, Wrecking Coast and Salcombe Gins – and with live music in the day and DJ at night, it looks set to be a super fun festival indeed!
Introduction to Botanical Illustration at Eden Project

What better place to discover the art of botanical illustration than at the iconic ecological venue, where visitors will join artists from The Eden Project Florilegium Society for a fantastic three-day course? You’ll learn about botany, the history of botanical illustration and accurate drawing techniques to help hone your skills during a fascinating and fun foray into illustration.
The Secret Garden at The Minack
9th-19th April
Fancy an alfresco performance at one of the world’s most-iconic cliff side, sea-gazing theatres? Adapted by Jessica Swale, the play by Frances Hodgson Burnett will take captivated audiences from India in 1910 to England’s Misselthwaite Manor, where young Mary Lennox discovers a mysterious world during this heart-warming tale of friendship and self-discovery.
Super Sunday, Toddle Tate, U-Studio Festival, Film For Friday Talk at Tate St Ives

Take over the Tate and make a folding world before enjoying the poetry place and exploring the Anna Boghiguian exhibition (under 18s); bring toddlers for a play and fun creating session complete with stories and music (18months+); make art with other young creatives (15-25) at the experimental open studio sessions; join Sam Buchan-Watts and Lavinia Singer as they discuss their new publication Try To Be Better.
Roseland Festival
23rd April – 4th May
An eclectic mix of jazz, choir and folk music alongside history, art, film, photography and outdoor activities such as walking will see visitors engaged in a number of ways at one of Cornwall’s most scenic locations. Names in attendance include Edwina Hayes, Geoff Lakeman, Orpheus, Dan Sefton, Patrick Gale and Robert Goddard.
Camborne Trevithick Day
27th April
The community-led festival presents a flurry of free street entertainment in homage of the famous inventor and in celebration of the area’s mining heritage. Watch the traditional ‘Bal Maidens and Miners Dance’ and Trevithick’s Dance, enjoy live music, stalls, fairground, flower festival and steam parade, along with eye-catching displays of vintage vehicles and engines.
