In association with Surfers Against Sewage we have signed up to the Million Mile Clean! This gives us the opportunity to bring communities together and clean up our beautiful beaches. Members of the public are also able to join in any of the Million Mile Cleans. In total so far 339108 kilos of rubbish have been collected across the country.
On a sunny July day 14 volunteers headed out of the office over to Godrevy beach, this particular stretch is managed by the National Trust, who kindly let us park in their car park for free for the clean.
Perhaps the most shocking find of the day was a whole lobster pot which took two people to carry back!
We managed to pick up lots of litter, especially ‘hawk eyes Henry’ as he is now known, whose bag was brimming with rubbish. All the bags were kindly collected by CTC Waste.
Keep an eye out for what we get up to on our next beach clean on our socials!
