After the success of St Ives Raft Race, the Aspects Holidays' girls decided to try their luck at Hayle Raft Race…

With some minor modifications involving lots of duct tape, bubble wrap and extra containers, we headed to Copperhouse Pool with renewed enthusiasm. However, our hopes were soon dashed when we witnessed other ‘rafts’ that were definitely more like boats! Cheaters.

After a hard first round we sailed (dragged ourselves) over the finish line in second place but faced a disappointing second round which involved a lifeboat and a long journey back to shore. Sore backs, bums and arms resulted from the experience but we’re already preparing for next year. In the words of Arnie, we’ll be back!
