West Cornwall Golf Club
The location of this course is absolutely stunning. The club itself is on a country lane that links the main road into St Ives with Lelant Saltings, and Porthkidney Beach and the Hayle Estuary form a backdrop to most of the 18 holes with Godrevy Lighthouse visible from some. The club welcomes visitors, with tee times bookable on their website and some discounts available for certain times of the day. The club house has a restaurant with a reputation for good food and a friendly bar with a dress code of smart casual. The course is playable all year round, as it is built on sand and so has good drainage, and can offer lessons from the golf pros based at the club. Tregenna Castle Resort
Tregenna Castle Resort has a slightly more inland golf course with great views over the coast line and St Ives itself. The facilities are excellent, as you have access to Tregenna Castle Hotel with its high-quality cafes and bars after your round. 18 holes cost £15 per person, and equipment can also be hired there, just in case you weren’t allowed to pack your own set of clubs! The course itself is a challenging par 54, although a relatively short course, and is open year round to everyone. It can be very busy in the school holidays – so be sure to reserve your slot. Tehidy Park Golf Club
Set in beautiful parkland, Tehidy Park offers lakes, streams, swans, tree lined fairways and a challenging Par 71 course. Visitors are welcomed, and it is not usually thought necessary to book a tee time, although it is recommended that you check the online club diary to see what other events are on by visiting their website here . The clubhouse offers bar meals and a place to relax and discuss the round after you have played. Tehidy Park is situated just off the A30 at Camborne – there are detailed directions on the club website. Tehidy Country Park is right next door, and provides a fabulous place for the rest of the family to explore while you are testing your golf skills – woodland, lakes and trails to follow, with cafes throughout to provide lunch and ice cream – great place for mountain biking too.

Cape Cornwall
Cape Cornwall Golf Club is situated in St Just, towards Land’s End. Although it is an inland course, there are views over the rugged coastline and out towards the Brisons – the famous rocks that can be seen just out to sea. Visitors are welcome, with 18 holes costing £26 and equipment hire available. There are also stay and play packages available, with unlimited golf included in the price. The course includes farmland, mining country, cliff tops and can be windy – making the par 69 course a delightful and scenic challenge. The restaurant provides lunch, breakfast and dinner, with good-value day packages for visiting golf clubs and societies.
