Some of the Aspects team were recently invited to take part in a surf lesson in Perranporth. Based on the beach, Perranporth Surf School has been running in the seaside village for over 20 years. Kate, Gavin and their team provide all manner of surf lessons, from beginners to advanced and every level in between. Family sessions are available, as are mixed groups and solo, private lessons. Or you can become a real pro and book a week-long surf course! With experienced, ISA (International Surfing Association) qualified coaches and registered with Surfing England, you’re in great hands. Perranporth Surf School offer lessons to local children and families who wouldn’t normally be able to take part, using profits from lessons to the support the community. 

Our team met their coach for the day, Ruben (the surf school’s most requested surf coach!), who got them suited, booted and board ready before heading down to the shoreline! After a safety briefing on the sand and being shown the basics, including how to navigate the waves with a foam board, how to lay on the board correctly and the all-important pop-up, it was time to get hit the waves. Our team of beginners were up and riding in no time and you could hear the whoops and cheers from the sand!
