Our range of luxury cottages in Cornwall for that extra special holiday. Our Unique and Boutique cottages have been hand picked by our team as those that offer an extra special place for your holiday.

Cider Barn is very well equipped with both kitchen and bathroom facilities. The garden is a bit of a sun-trap and the two loungers are very comfortable. The parking is easy and it is good to be able to get a car off the road. The location is good for access to Wadebridge, both the town itself and the out of town shops, and for beaches at Polzeath and Daymer Bay, and also for the cliff walks at Pentireglaze. We love the National Trust property at Lanhydrock, and there are plenty of places to access the Camel Trail. There are good pubs at both Chapel Amble and St Kew.

The Jack and Jill ladder to the bedroom takes a bit of getting used to but is perfectly ok for those without mobiitiy issues. However, you do need to remember to be careful of the limited headroom in the sleeping area.

The key safe arrangement works well. The cottage was spotlessly clean on arrival on the two occasions that we have visited (2023 & 2024) and we loved the welcome back of cookies fruit juice etc.

An exquisite property beautifully put together. It is easy to see the thought and care that has been taken in putting this together. Location is superb with easy access to some great locations and fantastic costal walks. You do need to be quite agile to navigate the stairs, which was fine for us, just something to be mindful of. There is an enclosed garden which is dog proof and perfect for morning coffee and breakfast. Would not hesitate to recommend this gorgeous property - we had such a great stay.

Holidays in Port Isaac

Port Isaac is a picturesque fishing village on the North coast of Cornwall, made famous by the popular TV series Doc Martin. With Padstow and Tintagel just a short drive away, you're well placed to explore the surrounding area, and with fine dining on the doorstep, Port Isaac is perfect for a self-catering holiday.

Situated in a National Landscape (formerly Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty), it’s clear why so many people have fallen in love with this traditional fishing village. Steeped in history, the harbour and many of the cottages date back centuries, with little unchanged by time. Today, visitors travel from afar to experience the quaint village with winding streets and narrow alleyways. Tucked into the rugged coastline, the harbour has always played a key role in the community, with fishermen still landing crabs and lobsters daily.

Did you know...

Port Isaac is home to one of the narrowest alleyways in Britain, named Squeezy Belly Alley.

Cosy barn with wood burning stove. Well located for Rock and beaches. St Kew Inn nearby and well worth a trip, as is breakfast at nearby St Kew farm shop.

We very much enjoyed our second holiday at Cider Barn It is very comfortable, stylish and spotlessly clean.

It has high quality equipment which made cooking and cleaning much easier and more pleasant. (Neff ovens and a Dyson rather than the usual smelly horrible Henry) We very much appreciated the welcome pack which was very generous and sourced locally The location is perfect. The lane is quiet and the outlook private. The enclosed garden was great for our dog. Thank you very much to the owners and Aspects

Cider Barn is in a good location, within easy reach of a number of beaches, and any shopping needed can be done in Wadebridge, which is only 10 minutes away by car. The cottage itself is very comfortable and well equipped, with off road parking. There are two good pubs within easy reach, in Chapel Amble and St Kew. Don’t be put off by the ladder access to the sleeping area.

Very well designed accommodation with all fittings and equipment you could possibly need. Cider Barn is in a quiet and peaceful location, a perfect base for visiting local attractions or indeed sitting in the garden with a good book. Jack and Jill steps and limited headroom in bedroom not an issue. We are both in our late 60’s and found it ‘fun’ going up to bed at night. We would highly recommend.

We had a great time staying at the Cider Barn, it was better than we expected in every way. So beautiful, clean, well designed and stylish, the owners have thought of everything you might need. We were very impressed, and also surprised by how much storage space there was. The welcome pack was extremely generous too. Don’t be put off by the bedroom, you basically live in the downstairs and climb the ladder stairs for bed, it was fun! We also loved the secure garden for our dog, and it was peaceful. We would highly recommend staying here.

The Cider Barn one word Fantastic . We arrived to a more than generous hamper full of local goodies. The barn was in a brilliant location for the places we wanted to visit Tintagel , Port Issac Bude and even further afield. Having a husband of 6’3” proved a little tricky moving round in the bedroom (we got dressed/undressed in the bathroom) but it certainly wouldn’t put us off staying again. The kitchen was equipped with top of the range appliances and every utensil you would need and more. Brilliant bathroom with a big walk in shower and very nice bath and lastly nice lounge area with a massive television to watch and chill out at the end of a busy day walking….Perfect

Mrs Darlison

This is a lovely relaxing place to stay, with luxurious stylish fittings but still a home from home with a lot of things thought of including a lovely welcome hamper which was very much appreciated and delicious! Especially after a long drive. The downstairs and garden were great. However, although knowing there is a jack and Jill stairs to the bedroom, we were not prepared for how steep this was. Also not knowing that there was no head space, standing height in the bedroom. I am 5ft 3in and could not stand up to get into bed and banged my head on the ceiling and my husband banged his head going up the steps. There is no safety signs to warn you either. If this does not worry you then this is a great place to stay. Unfortunately, because of this and the property further from Wadebridge than realised, we would not stay again. I was very happy with the service from Aspects and provided loads of information.

Second stay at the Barn. Good location it seems it’s 20 mins from so many good places - Rock, Port Issac etc. Superbly equipped and nice little garden which works well for pets. Yes the stairs and limited bedroom headroom is a faff - but you can deal with it! Well recommended

An amazing property and exactly as stated in the advert. Decoration, garden, mod cons, location.....the ideal place for some R&R. Ideal for our little dog, he loved it as much as we did. We would not hesitate to return, and fully expect to! Just perfect!

It was a wonderful stay for our honeymoon! There was a very generous replacement for our welcome hamper, having emailed to prior to let them know we were vegan. The style through out the whole barn was so refreshing and we are using this as inspiration to decorate our home. It was a wonderful relaxing stay and we will certainly be going back! We really appreciated that they put thought into making the stay as eco friendly as possible from the coffee pods to washing tablets and soaps to fixtures and furnishings. Just amazing!

Can't recommend this barn enough. It's location is great on a quiet country lane, a 20 minute walk from the local pub and a 15 minute drive to the coast.

The barn itself is amazing with a very modern but cosy feel. The television is huge with Netflix access, the loaf sofa is comfortable. The kitchen is very well equipped.

The bedroom is accessed by Jack and Jill steps and I'd imagine these would be a struggle for somebody with limited mobility. Once in the bedroom area there is limited roof space. I'm 5'8" and can just about stand up.

There was a welcome Hamper upon arrival which was very impressive. It was packed with farm shop goodies including wine, bread, biscuits. Our dog even had a goody bag along with a new toy!

Overall a great holiday and I would definitely return.

The Cider Barn is a quirky little cottage that is tastefully decorated and is so modern. It has everything - fantastic bathroom with an awesome bath and shower. Brilliant kitchen with every appliance and utensil. The lounge/dining area was great with a large comfy sofa and a large dining table with fixed bench seating. You had the advantage of watching TV or the view of the garden. Access to the garden was perfect so we could keep an eye our dog. It was very safe and the garden was well maintained. The welcome pack was fantastic. Lots of lovely touches too like the doggy welcome bag. We loved staying there.

The Cider Barn is beautiful and so well equip. The hamper was amazing filled with goodies from the farm shop including jam, cheese, eggs, crisps, apple juice to name but a few! The sound systems amazing and the WiFi super fast. The little garden is lovely too and we had a visitor every morning and evening….a robin. He loved his scones, bread and cheese. I would definitely recommend this accommodation it’s in a perfect position to visit lots of beautiful places, Padstow, Port Isaac, Tintagel and Boscastle.

Beautifully decorated, furnished and equipped hideaway for two with a wonderful slipper bath to soak in after a hard day on the beach!!! A very high standard of accommodation. Plus, the most impressive welcome hamper we've ever had, filled with lots of locally sourced goodies from the near by farm shop .... unbelievable olives and a bottle of Gin .... it doesn't get any better than that!!

Just watch your head in the mezzanine bedroom, its a very low ceiling, so not ideal if you're particularly tall or claustrophobic.
