This beautiful barn conversion is nestled in tranquil Cornish countryside close to the banks of the Helford river. If peace and relaxation are on your agenda, then look no further. Perfect for friends or families, this reverse level property is sure to tick all the boxes. The large entrance hall has plenty of space for muddy boots, sandy flip flops and other essential beach gear. Two beautiful bedrooms can be found on the ground floor; a gorgeous super-king room with neutral calming tones (which can also be made up as a twin room) and a king-size room which is decorated in pretty pastel pinks; both have en suite shower-rooms. The principal bedroom is on the first floor, with a sumptuous king-size bed and a Jack and Jill bathroom, which links to the landing. After a day of adventures, you'll welcome a peaceful night's sleep, each with luxurious bedding and linens. Head upstairs, where you'll find the open plan kitchen and living areas with the impressive vaulted ceiling and Juliet balcony. You will have no problem relaxing with two magnificent sofas and a squishy armchair to sink into, ideal for those cosy evenings relaxing with a glass of your favourite tipple! The double doors overlook the outside space and can be thrown open to let the fresh air and sunshine flood in. The kitchen is contemporary and fresh, with a Nespresso machine for those all-important morning coffees. Head outside to discover the lovely front garden with a courtyard to the side, and a sweet hand-crafted bench perfect for soaking up the sunshine. The Old Granary's friendly neighbours include the cows who live on site and two other holiday lets, Church View and The Old Stables, also available to book through Aspects Holidays.

Set in a rural location, on a working cattle farm in the village of Mawgan, this is a delightful place for your Cornwall holiday. With cows grazing on the farmland in the summer and in the sheds behind the barns in the winter months, you might hear a gentle lowing from time to time. Mawgan has a fabulous pub nearby, The Ship, which is a great spot for a delicious meal and drinks and don't forget Gear Farm pasties, which are a must, and also try Gwella Dairy ice-cream too - there's so much local produce to choose from. The village shop is just a short stroll away, and if you fancy heading out for a walk, the pretty banks of the Helford and Tremayne Quay are nearby. If you're looking to explore more of Cornwall, you're certainly in a great location to do so! The popular village of Porthleven is nearby, with a fantastic selection of coffee shops and eateries, and beautiful Mullion Cove is well worth a visit during your stay. A little further afield, you will find the cheerful town of Falmouth with its wonderful restaurants, pretty golden sand beaches and laid-back atmosphere. There's plenty to see and do on your Cornwall holiday, whether you're searching for a relaxing escape to the countryside or are planning a week jam-packed with activities.

Holidays in Helford River

Helford River is a large estuary nestled between Falmouth and the Lizard Peninsula, stretching almost 50km, up to the old port of Gweek. You’ll find a plethora of hidden beaches, stunning scenery and picturesque villages.

Renowned for its micro-climate, this part of the south coast benefits from a balmy climate, where tropical plants flourish. Experience this for yourselves at one of the beautiful sub-tropical gardens on the Helford River.

With numerous walks and waterside pubs, you can spend your days exploring different parts of the river, discovering hidden creeks and ending each day at a different Cornish pub.
