Holidays in Mevagissey

Stay in Mevagissey and you’ll be perfectly placed to explore all that the south coast of Cornwall has to offer. Take a ferry trip to Fowey, visit the Lost Gardens of Heligan or spend a day at the beach at the nearby Pentewan Sands.

Best known for its harbour and fishing boats, Mevagissey still boasts as being part of Cornwall’s thriving fishing industry. Fresh fish can even be bought from the hut on the harbour wall, located a short stroll from the village aquarium, once the lifeboat station. Wander around the harbour area, with its narrow streets, fascinating shops and galleries and recall its smuggling history, or just relax in the bars and restaurants and coves and on nearby beaches.

There is a ferry boat which runs from end of April to beginning of October from Mevagissey to Fowey three or four times a day (don’t miss the return journey!) – journey time about 35 minutes. You may be lucky and spot some playful dolphins!

Excellent well equipped 3 storey house. Great location with onsite parking. Would definitely recommend to anyone.

Great location and service by Aspects but the beds and furniture were inadequate for 6 people. Tired mattresses, bathrooms in need of refurbishment and ill fitting kitchen table and sofa.

Its lovely to hear that you liked the property's fabulous location. It's certainly an enviable spot with those amazing harbour views. We are pleased to report that the owner has since purchased a new super king Emma mattress as well as new outdoor chairs and kitchen equipment. With regards to the bed provision and furniture; we have tried to ensure that the website photos and description accurately reflect what is provided. The owners supply enough beds to accommodate 6, with 2 twin bedrooms and a double, so we do hope this was what was expected from the website photos and description. Thank you for passing on your helpful comments. Lucy, Customer Services

We had a great week in Harbourside. The property is really comfortable and the balcony is a real bonus. The location is great - quiet but easy walking distance to the shops and restaurants. We walked to Polstreath beach a few times, which is really nearby and was never busy. It really was a lovely place to unwind. I only wish we could have stayed another week!

Harbourside is a fabulous apartment in an excellent location. Fantastic views of action in the harbour and the village is a five minute flat walk away.

Everything exactly as promised, Tracy in the office very attentive and helpful.

The views from the harbourside are amazing. The cleanliness and modern facilities were superb and the aspect staff in Mevagissey could not have been more helpful. They even went the extra mile to drop off an extra front door key. A fantastic holiday in the perfect location and we will be back.

Harbourside is amazing. Everything about it is perfect. There are fantastic harbour views, there is private parking (and you get used to driving along the harbour), it is a very short walk to lovely restaurants and shops. The house is spotless with everything you need. We had an absolutely wonderful holiday exploring all the beautiful places in the area. Do not hesitate to book. You will not be disappointed.

Very clean comfortable house, we had everything we needed, with great parking. Excellent location and a stones through from cafes, pubs, shops and beautiful costal walks. The best thing about the property was the breath taking sea views. Would highly recommend.

Really enjoyed our week at Harbourside, especially waking to the views of the harbour. All made so much better by being able to park right outside of the property. Do remember to take games and reading with you as although there is a fantastic tv and dvd facility you might want more. Welcome pack of Cornish tea, coffee, biscuits and milk appreciated.

We had a fabulous week staying at Harbourside and would thoroughly recommend it to anyone staying in Mevagissey. Location was perfect, stunning views of the harbour and easy walking distance to local shops, pubs and restaurants. Private parking in the gated community was a huge bonus.

Loved it. Great Location. Lovely House. And parking!

Perfect in every way and the ideal location in mevagissey to enjoy the best fishing village in Cornwall. From the amazing sea views to the luxurious beds and bedding everything has been thought about to make your stay 5 star.

The parking outside is amazing with many other places/holiday lets required to park in the village car parks. There is nothing not to love about this place including the top and responsive support from Tracey and Michelle in Aspects Holidays. Definitely coming back!

Lovely house in brilliant location but you do have to get used to driving along the harbour wall to reach it. Great views from lounge and main bedroom. Downstairs bedroom looks over back of a boat yard with no view and is quite dark.

We are glad you enjoyed Harbourside. That location is fantastic, isn't it? You can just sit back and watch the comings and goings of the harbour and the changing conditions as storms roll in, or the calmness of a still, sunny day! The drive along the single lane road that follows the harbour wall may take a bit of getting used to and patience for some, but we include a photo that will give those who don't know the village, an idea of what to expect. We hope that this and that downstairs bedroom were what you had expected from the photos and description. Tanya, Customer Services

Harbourside is a well presented, comfortable house in a great location with fantastic views. Private parking spaces a definite bonus. Easy access to the small beach next to the harbour and not far from all Mevagissey has to offer. Nice and quiet, being at the end of the harbour gives a bit of separation from the busy town centre and the seagulls 1st thing in the morning! The balcony was a great place to sit and watch everything go by.

I do not need to write a lengthy 're new for harbourside. If you like fantastic sea views and value clean and stylish accommodation then book immediately. We were highly i.pressed with Aspects holidays as we had constant communication that was immediately answered. We will certainly book again as it was a perfect week.

A good spot from which to visit the attractions of South Cornwall. A lovely village with amenities, though it can become very busy.

Harbourside exceeded my expectations! It’s even better than the photos and the view/ position is just amazing . Great place to stay and wouldn’t hesitate to go back.

Just had the most relaxed and lovely holiday at Harbourside. What a superb location! Sitting on the balcony watching the sunrise over the sea was just magical. The views were lovely and very therapeutic. Harbourside is a great property, very well equipped and maintained/decorated. Being on the edge of the harbour is a very special place to be, and Mevagissey is very pretty - and the locals are so friendly, with lovely shops, restaurants and pubs. Nicely placed for visiting lots of places in Cornwall (Lost Gardens of Heligan, a favourite) and Lizzy at Aspects in Mevagissey was super helpful in making sure we got the best out of our holiday. Perfect - thank you!

Super location with lovely outside space to sit and eat in good weather. Great views. Mevagissey has everything you need. Getting to and from Harbourside in the car requires much patience as you go along the edge of the harbour and there are so many pedestrians walking in the road in holiday season. If going out for the day then leave by 10.30am and come back after 5pm and it’s much easier. But great starting point for walks. Lovely bay at Gorran Haven if you want a good walk. Drive to Carlyon Bay for great beach for the family. Lovely place to stay and thoroughly recommend. Aspect Holidays are very professional and very good customer service.

Wonderful views and perfect location. Lovely clean house with everything you need a stone's throw from Mevagissey harbour. Will be back!
