Ocean's Reach is a fantastic base for a family of four, or two couples sharing, with two parking spaces right outside your front door. There is an open-plan living area on the ground floor which features a bright and airy space for all the family to relax in, with the twin bedroom and shower room on the same floor. The attic space has been converted to provide a spacious en suite king-size bedroom. Leading off from the kitchen is the courtyard, a perfect sun trap, so you can enjoy breakfast in the sun before a busy day of exploring.

With turquoise waters and golden sands, the award-winning beach at Carbis Bay is only a 15 minute walk away, where you find The Carbis Bay Hotel and Spa, and Beach Club Restaurant, offering amazing beach-front dining. The train station is within easy walking distance and takes you into the bustling harbour town of St Ives, along one of the most scenic railway lines in Cornwall. St Ives has an array of independent and boutique shops, four beautiful sandy beaches and the renowned Tate St Ives. However, if you would prefer to explore further afield, the town of Hayle is under a 10 min drive away, with three miles of sandy beach, or visit Godrevy, perfect for rock pooling, and if you're lucky you may spot the seals who have made their home in the secluded cove next to Gwithian beach. Further out, you'll find Marazion, which is home to St Michael's Mount, and Penzance where you will find Jubilee Pool and the promenade, where you can take a stroll to Newlyn. Accommodation clean & well furnished & suited our requirements for 2 couples. Downstairs bedroom & shower room good for less mobile persons. Sloping ceilings upstairs might be a problem for taller individuals. Location is a quiet residential area with amenities within walking distance but quite a distance from centre of St ives, although we did walk there & back several times. Private parking right outside the property. Owner was friendly & helpful. Would stay there again if we needed to be in the area.

Carbis Bay beach

A holiday in Carbis Bay means you’ll have one of the most beautiful beaches just a short walk away from your holiday cottage. With crystal-clear turquoise waters, enjoy swimming and other watersports, with kayaks and paddleboards available to hire from the watersports centre at the beach. You’ll also be in close proximity to the golden sandy beaches at Lelant and Hayle and the popular beaches in St Ives; you could try a different beach every day of the week!

Walks in Carbis Bay

Leave the car at home and take the 20 minute walk into St Ives, enjoying the views along the way. This gentle walk is a must at least once during your stay.

For nature lovers, the Steeple Woods Nature Reserve is home to an abundance of wildlife and plants. Relax and explore the forty acre space which overlooks St Ives.

For the more adventurous soul, the St Michael’s Way is a 12.5 mile trek starting at nearby Lelant, and finishing up at the stunning St Michael’s Mount in Marazion. If the walk back doesn’t seem too appealing, you can always ride the open-top bus all the way back!

Beautiful place in a great location. Very good for people with limited mobility and well equipped too. The owner and Aspects were very helpful when we has some unexpected events during the week. They were so understanding and helpful.
