Holidays in Marazion

Marazion is perhaps best known for the famous St Michael's Mount that is perfectly silhouetted on a sunny day, however the town itself is worth a browse with some lovely shops and tea rooms. We recommend visiting in early Spring when the famous Cornish daffs are in full flower!

St Michael’s Mount sits majestically on an island out at sea and can be reached via a cobbled causeway at low tide or at other times by the 'St Michael' amphibious vehicle! Visit the sub-tropical gardens that surround the castle or step inside the castle walls to explore the myths and legends that surround this iconic landmark. Read more about St Michael's Mount or view our St Michael's Mount webcam.

Top tip

Be sure check the tide times when planning your visit to St Michael's Mount!

Marazion beach

Conveniently located a moment away from the world famous St Michael's Mount, Marazion beach is found in the heart of Mount's Bay, recently elected as one of the 'most beautiful bays in the world'. It’s the perfect beach for family holidays in Marazion, with cafés just above the sand, lifeguards on hand and clean and safe waters. Despite its beauty and convenience for holiday makers, it remains surprisingly quiet compared to other Cornish beaches. It’s perfect for beach and sea sports and you can even take your horse for a quick gallop across the sands! The long sandy beach that stretches towards Long Rock is a popular windsurfing, kite surfing and sailing spot amongst locals and holiday makers alike. Mount's Bay provides ideal conditions for watersports, and kite surfing and stand up paddleboarding lessons are available with Ocean High for those looking to make the most of the outdoors. Find out more things to do at Marazion Beach >

Venture Eastwards and you'll find Marazion Beach East, or Steps Beach. This dog-friendly beach is favoured by locals as it is quiet due to its limited access and rocky shore, but it is perfect for dog walking, and collecting driftwood after a storm. Children will enjoy the many rock pools when the tide is out. Accessible via Leys Lane or from Marazion beach if you don't mind climbing over the rocks!

A lovely spacious homely property quietly located in Marazion.
Parking could be a little tricky.

Our third visit. Suits our requirements in every way. Will be returning again. Roomy, well equipped, easy walk to and from the village centre, comfortable. Master bedroom is large with lovely en suite.

Lovely accommodation, very comfortable. Would definitely return.

We had such a lovely stay at the coach house. It's a really generous sized living room with such lovely high ceilings and light and bright and clean. We also loved Marazion, such a gorgeous place with everything we needed on our doorstep, gorgeous walks, beaches, pubs/restaurants and lovely coffee shop.

Loved our holiday, this is the second time we have been here, great location and lovely place

Very comfortable and quiet accommodation in a favourable location. We highly recommend the accommodation and hope to stay again.

Lovely coach house conversion in a good location for Penzance, St Ives, the Lizard etc. Well equiped and comfortable. Will go back again for sure. Parking can be a bit tight so don't take the Range Rover take the wifes XC40 instead!

Lovely spacious property. Beautifully decorated with well equipped kitchen. The beds were very comfortable and it was very quiet at night. Good location with beach within walking distance. Would highly recommend The Old Coach House.

Nice place to stay, will recondmend to any one going to Cornwall.

A hidden gem highly recommend.

Our 8th stay, just booked our 9th for 2023! Our fave place to be! The Old Coach House holds a special place in all my families hearts! I asked my children if they wanted to go abroad for next years holiday and they all protested "No, we must go back to our holiday home!!" Aspects customer service is fantastic and friendly. Thank you for always taking care of us! See you next year x

Thoroughly enjoyed our 1 week stay at the Coach house in Marazion. The pictures on the website don’t do the property justice - it is HUGE! Lovely open plan living worked well for our family of 4 and having 2 bathrooms was a god send. Within east walking distance from restaurants & at Michael’s mount - it is an ideal location for your holiday. Many beaches also within close proximity by car.

Lovely place, spacious and well equipped. I’d be more than happy to stay there again.

The old coach house is a beautiful and spacious apartment. Fully equipped in the kitchen and with plentiful storage. The bed are very comfortable and it’s situated in a quiet part of town. The only thing is we had trouble finding the entrance to the road as the road sign is hidden from view but once found we were not disappointed.

Our first holiday in 3 years and we couldn’t be more happy with the location and home. Ideal location for trips throughout Cornwall, the Eden project is only an hour away by car. Great holiday.

We had a lovely holiday at the old coach house. The location was fantastic. We had no problems finding the property from the instructions provided, and were able to park our (small) car without any difficulty. The property is bright and spacious, and the beds were very comfortable.

Fantastic property, really spacious and well furnished, comfortable beds and bathrooms, quality fittings, well maintained. Brilliant location to explore many different parts of Cornwall

We enjoyed a lovely week in The Coach House, and enjoyed it’s close proximity to Marazion, and how easy it was to reach other parts of West Cornwall. The cottage has masses of space inside, and the beds are super comfy, but be aware that the access lane is incredibly tight as is the parking, and anything larger than a family sized car is likely to struggle.

The Old Coach House was spacious and airy, well located for the town and beach. Very clean with everything we needed. Be aware that mobile signal on O2 was not available. Aspects service when we forgot an important item was excellent too.

This place was awesome

Large warm property, bigger than expected with well equipped kitchen. Good WiFi. However issues were; The shower room needs addressing there is quite a lot of mould in the cubicle alongside stains and it wasn’t the most pleasant, could do with a serious clean/refresh. found it hard to find property even after turning into the tiny lane and yes that turn is very tight and the lane very narrow. We relied on a helpful local resident who advised us which bit our cottage is as its hidden off the lane. The property shares parking space with three other holiday homes and upon arriving we couldn’t use our allocated space as the middle space for another holiday home had a car parked in it at an angle meaning there was no way to access the space for The Old Coach House. Fortunately the other holidaymakers were in their property and we were able to ask them to move their car so we could gain access. For these reasons I likely wouldn’t choose this property again.

Lovely property great location. Marazion is a great place to base a holiday.

Spacious and warm well positioned for central Marazion.

We had a lovely week at The Coach House. It was a perfect base to explore both Marazion and the surrounding areas. Our 6 year old loved the amount of space inside! The property is very spacious and full of natural light. As the description states, parking is quite tight and requires a degree of confidence.

We had a lovely week stay at the Old Coach House. It was very spacious for a 2 bed property and the location was great. Despite the rain we had a great week and the house provided a comfortable haven from the poor weather!

Lovely property with great high ceilings and huge windows. Within walking distance to Marazion centre, beaches, causeway to St Michael's Mount, or Coastal Path.

Lovely cottage, spacious and comfortable. Slight issue on arrival where kitchen hadn't been cleaned but soon rectified. Parking wasn't an issue, small lane but not a problem for small or medium car. Ten minute walk from village centre and seafront. Lovely base for a holiday with everything you need.

Thank you for sending in your comments. We were so sorry to hear that areas of the kitchen clean had been missed. Thank you for letting us know so that we could get the housekeeper back straight away to re-attended and rectify any areas of concern, so that you could get straight on to enjoying your holiday. We are glad to hear that you had enjoyed the cottage and its location. Tanya, Customer Services

Beautiful holiday cottage. Our 5th visit with my family and will be returning next year. Thank you Aspects and The Old Coach House

Very good. You made a house to home.

The cottage is fully equipped and very comfortable. The only disappointment was its location and lack of a garden.

Reply from Aspects Holidays

We are really sorry to hear that you were not keen on the location as we absolutely love Marazion. It is a fairly small coastal village, so if you are looking for somewhere with a lot more going on, it may not be the place for you, but for those who like walking and coastal activities like paddle boarding, kite surfing and so on, it is a perfect spot. And not forgetting St Michael's Mount of course! We try to make the outside area as clear as possible within the photos and description. It is a courtyard area, as opposed to a garden and is surrounded by fencing. It may not be everyone's 'cup of tea' if you are used to, or want, a lot more open space, but it is great to have that bit of an outside area where you can enjoy a nice cuppa or a bit of al fresco dining! We do hope that you still had a lovely time here despite the area not being quite what you had wanted. If you are ever looking to return to Cornwall, please do not hesitate to get in touch with the team so that we can advise on locations that may better suit you. Tanya, Customer Services

excellent location , every thing you could need , highly recomended

This beautiful property situated in the heart of Marazion was just such a pleasure to stay in. The fabulous decor with the wonderful high ceilings completed our perfect holiday destination. Fully equipped with everything you would need for a get away to Cornwall. Just a short walk away from the beach and exquisite village. I would highly recommend this incredible place to stay.

We loved everything about the old coach house. It was bigger than we expected, well furnished and comfortable. An easy and quick walk to the beach, the beautiful Marazion and St Micheal's Mount. The perfect base for a great family holiday. We didn't want it to end. We'll be back next summer.

View from property not the best. Little over priced and no view, access down lane and parking tight

Reply from Aspects Holidays

We are very sorry if The Old Coach House was not exactly what you had expected. Unfortunately you do not have views from this property; if that is something that is an important feature, if you are returning to Cornwall in future, you can select the 'sea view' tab on our website, or please do not hesitate to call us so that we can assist in recommending a suitable property with a view. The access is a little snug, so we have included details on the website to state that turning is difficult for larger vehicles. We hope that you still enjoyed your time here. Tanya, Customer Services

Charming, airy and well situated property, pity about the problems as it did spoil the holiday slightly.

Reply from Aspects Holidays

We are very sorry that you had some maintenance issues crop up during your time there, and that it was felt to have slightly spoiled your holiday. I know that we have spoken since about what was done as a result of your feedback, but again, I just wanted to reassure you that everything has been rectified. Sometimes things break and go wrong in properties, and unfortunately this can happen at any time so we would always want to do everything that we could when this happens, while guests are here so that we can ensure that you have everything working as it should and being presented in a way that you would expect. Thank you for letting us know, so that we could get this investigated and rectified. Tanya, Customer Services

The Old Coach House was a bright & airy property in a lovely, quiet location only a few minutes walk to the hub of gorgeous Marazion.

Well equipped with the added bonus of a jacuzzi & BBQ.

We look forward to staying again.

We really enjoyed our stay in The Old Coach House. It was even better than we expected - lovely decorated and bright spacious rooms, great equipment, sunny outside area, private parking in front of the property, well working w-lan, ... The location is great - short walking distance to the town centre and the beach. A perfect place for a holiday with a child!

The house keeper was very pleasant and quickly responded to all our communications!

Beautiful property in a convenient location and I would definitely steely recommend staying here.

We have had a brilliant week at The Old Coach House. Such a lovely property and fab location. It was great to be able to stroll down to Marazion for the beach/Pasties/Pubs etc and a fab central base to discover many lovely places. Thank you.

Perfect living space for a small family with a toddler. Beautifully spacious, lovely location. We cannot wait to book again next year!

No mention of no wifi or phone signal

Reply from Aspects Holidays

Thank you for your review. We will always state in our descriptions if there is wifi included at a property. At the time of your stay, this was not advertised here, however, since then, new owners have taken on The Old Coach House and it has undergone re-furbishment and the addition of wifi. Unfortunately with many areas of Cornwall being very rural, some areas don't have great mobile phone coverage. It may be worth checking your individual provider's coverage map before booking if this is an important factor for you to consider. Tanya, Customer Service.

The cottage is in a fab position only minutes from the beach of Marazion and St Michael's Mount.

We had another super stay at the Old Coachouse

The property is perfect for older people as all on one level.

Overall a very nice and lovely cottage which we can recommend. We would also like to thanks the owner for the welcome "package" with milk, scones, cream,....

I would recommend The Old Coach House for a lovely base for a holiday in Cornwall, good location to visit areas of interest.

One of the nicest properties we have self-catered in. Very light, spacious, comfortable and well equipped. Welcome pack in fridge was very much appreciated, although we were defeated by the pound of clotted cream, as rather large for just the two of us! Being within walking distance of several excellent places to eat.
