Levant Mine and Beam Engine
Visit this National Trust attraction, and you can see the historic steam-powered beam engine in action, explore the underground tunnel and discover more on the family trail, at one of Cornwall's most famous mines.
Geevor Tin Mine
Another popular attraction in Pendeen is Geevor, an old tin mine which has since been preserved and now serves as a museum to Cornwall's rich industrial past. With breathtaking views, and plenty to explore, it provides a great day out for the whole family.
Yew Tree Gallery
The Yew Tree Gallery near Pendeen features displays of locally made pottery, jewellery, scluptures and art work. There is also a sclupture garden, with herb garden and views across rolling fields.
Farmers market
The fornightly farmers market in Pendeen provides an insight into the Cornish way of life, offering local produce and a relaxed atmosphere, and Trewellard Meadery is just down the road where you can sample fruit wines and top notch grub in a traditional setting. Portheras Cove is just a short walk from the lighthouse, which is one of Cornwall hidden gems. This gorgeous sandy cove is a hideaway for locals, and is also home to a small colony of seals!
