Built in to the cliff face at Porthcurno, the world famous Minack Theatre runs outdoor performances from May to September attracting many who wishing for an ‘al fresco’ theatrical experience with the most beautiful back drop of the sea and sunset. This world-renowned theatre is truly a theatre under the stars. It was built by hand by Rowena Cade and her gardener Billy Rawlings and Tom Angove. The story of how the theatre came about is a tribute to one woman’s vision. Rowena died in 1983. The theatre has undergone technical modifications to cope with the increased audience numbers. However, it is still a truly unique and magical place, with seats carved into the cliffs and a stunning backdrop and sea views. Treen
Conveniently located for cliff walking and bird watching, Treen is just a short walk away from the secluded sandy beaches of Porthcurno.

Logan Rock
Logan Rock, meaning 'balanced stone' is also closeby. This granite boulder weighing approximately 80 tonnes, could once be rocked by applying just a little pressure. The story goes that it was once dislodged in 1824 by a group of British seamen wishing to show their skill and courage. Outraged by this, the local residents insisted the rock was replaced, as it had become a local landmark. Ironically this was a much more challenging feat, taking 60 men, 7 months to complete. Logan's Rock still moves today, but with much less ease than it once did.

Dating back over 400 years, the Logan Rock Inn serves good food and beer and offers a friendly, country-pub atmosphere.

Penberth Cove
Home to a small fishing fleet, Penberth Cove is nearby and provides the perfect place to relax in a tranquil setting. Ideal for a spot of birdwatching or simply enjoying the scenery.

A lovely property with amazing views and great access to the beach and coast path. Very clean, comfy beds and well equipped kitchen!

Amazing views ! The apartment has everything that you need for a great holiday. Extremely clean and comfortable apartment. Would recommend.

The views from this apartment are amazing, watching the waves from the breakfast table was a true holiday treat. It is close to both the beach and the coastal path. The apartment is clean, comfortable and well equipped.

Fantastic location and well equipped apartment - high key recommended

We really enjoyed staying at Ocean View 2, the apartment has a great view looking out to Porthcurno Beach and Logan Rock. Great access to the coastal paths and of course the lovely Minack Theatre. The apartment was really well equipped with everything you would need need for your stay. The beds clean and comfortable. The addition of milk, tea and coffee along with the scones, jam and clotted cream was a very welcome thought especially after what was a long 8 hour journey for us. Even though there was other apartments above and below us in this block it was a very peaceful experience. It’s worth noting that the Beach Cafe in Porthcurno was already closed for the season on 17th Sept 22 leaving just the PK Museum cafe for a snack and coffee unless paying to visit the Minack theatre during the day.

This is a lovely, comfortable apartment with beautiful views. The balcony gets the morning sun perfect for a morning cuppa. Our family of 4 had plenty of space and as another reviewer commented there are some thoughtful touches from the owners. Well located for the beach (despite short steep climb back), the Minack and the coast path. We definitely hope to return in the future.

Everything about the apartment is amazing. We loved every minute of our stay. So well equipped, clean, most comfortable bed. The owners have thought of everything for your comfort, home from home. Would definitely recommend and will come again. The most amazing view, and in walking distance of the Minack theatre, wonderful!! Thank you.

This apartment had amazing view’s all round. It was very well equipped with everything you need. Cream tea and fairly light’s in the window all added to a lovely welcome. Definitely would recommend this property and hope to return again.

Be ready for walk up steep hill to reach property

Reply from Aspects Holidays

Whilst only minutes from the stunning Porthcurno beach, being a clifftop property, the walk back up to it is very steep. For those that can't manage it but don't want to miss out on the opportunity of staying here, there is a car park down the bottom of the hill, which whilst charged, gives you a relatively level walk to the beach. It can quickly fill up in peak times, so may require an earlier start if this is something required. Tanya, Customer Services

We had a brilliant stay at Ocean View. The view is incredible and the apartment cosy and homely. We would definitely recommend it for a break in a beautiful part of Cornwall.

Fantastic location with superb sea views . Accommodation very spacious and comfortable . Thoroughly enjoyed our stay . Lands End and Sennen very close by and well worth a visit . Will definitely return .

Lovely property with stunning views.

Perfect location.

Very clean.

Washer dryer takes to long to dry... impractical.

Limited storage space in twin room..only one small chest of drawers, no wardrobe.

Reply from Aspects Holidays

Thank you for your helpful comments. Unfortunately, washer driers are generally not as efficient at drying as standalone tumble driers, but it was the most practical option for the owners to be able to offer both washing and drying facilities, so we do hope that you still found it useful. The second bedroom is a little too small for a wardrobe, so the owners have provided several hooks and hangers in there but after receiving your feedback, they are looking into ways to be able to improve the storage and considering whether they can fit a small hanging wardrobe in the hall opposite the 2nd bedroom. So thank you for your suggestion; it is really useful to hear what improvements/changes guests would most appreciate. Tanya, Customer Services

Wonderful and comfortable apartment with stunning coastal views. An ideal location to relax and explore the coastal paths. Would highly recommend...

The perfect place to rejuvenate the soul.

We had a very relaxing week, beautiful views and apartment was very well equipped and comfortable.

Absolutely loved the flat, it is was very comfortable and had everything we needed and more, including beach stuff and games etc. The view is just stunning and the location is perfect for days on the beach, early morning swims in the sea and walking the cliff-path...there is also the Telegraph Museum and Minack Theatre for a bit of history and entertainment...perfect!

Ocean View has undeniably the best views you could find in a holiday flat! It simply takes your breath away. We loved our stay here and one of the highlights was getting to see dolphins swimming on the beach at sunrise. It's in a great location being only walking distance from Minack Theatre and lots of lovely cliff walks right on your doorstep. It also has great easy access parking. We would highly recommend Ocean View 2 to anyone as we would booking with Aspects Holidays. There were no problems and communication was easy.
