Dolphins is a home away from home. Excellent holiday home in a fantastic location. Highly recommended.
Mr McBride Jun 2024
This is a well equipped, comfortable property with the most amazing view. It’s in a quiet, central location. This is the second time we’ve stayed at dolphins and I’m sure we’ll be back. We had an amazing time in St Ives.
Mrs Krousti Aug 2023
A great place to stay with an amazing view. Perfect for a family and very comfortable
Miss Gilbert Aug 2023
This was our fourth time staying at Dolphins since 2012 and it was even better this time. Great location and great overall holiday home. A real hidden treasure.
Mr McBride Jun 2023
Perfect family accommodation and location near the beaches and the town. The house had everything we needed for a lovely holiday in St Ives.
Ms Wallin Apr 2023
Nice position, if walking to town you have to climb hills to get back ,a problem if you have mobility issues
Mr Dance Oct 2022
Very clean, comfortable ,well appointed property. Good location with a nice view of the sea. It's a bit of a walk up the hill from town, but only takes ten or twelve minutes. There is no allocated parking and its limted in the street. In high season that could a problem. There is plenty of parking at the rugby club but that a good fifteen minutes away. We very much enjoyed our stay
mr Kennedy Sep 2022
We had an amazing holiday in St Ives and loved our stay at ‘The Dolphins’. The views are beautiful, the outdoor space is a real bonus and the house is clean and comfortable. The climb back up from the beach is a bit of a killer but the views make it all worthwhile. The location is super! We’ll be back.
Mrs Krousti Sep 2022
Lovely bright, well decorated, clean property with all necessary mod cons. Pleasant front and rear gardens, giving opportunity to sit out during evening and daytime if desired. Good location, within walking distance of St Ives town, harbour, and Porthmeor and Porthgwidden beaches.
Mr Lever Jul 2022
Dolphins was an ideal location, close to Porthmeor beach and only 5 min walk into St Ives. Walking back does involve conquering a fairly steep hill but we found it ok. Glorious views over the sea and beach and Dolphins was extremely well equipped and very comfortable. We absolutely loved it and will definitely book again. The parking can be a bit of an issue. The road is one of the few free places to park in St Ives so quite often local workers and surfers will park there from early morning to late evening so if you go out for the day you may struggle to park when you get back.
Mr Robinson Jul 2022
Perfect. Thank you Lanes family, you have thought of everything.
Mrs Hill Jun 2022
A lovely house with everything you could need in a house to house Holiday… a little on street parking available but on a first come basis … Lovely sea views and close to main shops bars n beaches etc but must be fit to tackle the uphill back to property.

St Ives is known for its hills, so the location of your chosen property can be an important consideration for some. For those who will struggle with this, it is often best to stay right in the centre of town, or over the other side of the town, on the bus routes that will make light work out of that return journey back up to the property. If you don't mind the exercise though, the views that you get from being perched above the town and beaches, as you are with this property, is well worth that effort. We are glad that it worked well for you, and you enjoyed your time here. Tanya, Customer Services
Our stay at Dolphins was fabulous, the accommodation was spotlessly clean, really well equipped, with very comfortable beds and an excellent shower. It's a lovely location and easy to get around by foot, near Portmeor Beach. Parking is the only tiny issue as it's a first come first served situation, but this is made clear in the booking. Aspects were brilliant to deal with, we will definitely use them again.

We are glad that you enjoyed your time here. Parking is unfortunately at a premium in St Ives; with many properties not having this facility. For those without this facility, like Dolphins - 3 Carthew Court; it is always worth looking into parking options beforehand on the local council website and looking into private parking availability, particularly for peak weeks. There is also a park and ride facility which some find useful. Please feel free to contact the team for any advice. Thanks for your comments, and we hope to see you back here soon. Excellent! We had a wonderful time at Dolphins! The cottage is exactly as described on the website, with lovely views of the coast and The Island from the sitting room and main bedroom. The cottage is beautifully decorated with a seaside theme and very well equipped, we had everything we needed for a very comfortable and enjoyable stay.
Mrs Bradbury-Stewart Mar 2022
Lovely house and great location.
Mr Weir Oct 2021
Booked this property because it was pet and smoke free. The property was really clean unlike some of the properties I've stayed in St Ives and the views from the patio window were an added bonus. Located on a quite street with no noise with great double glazing. Ten minute walk into town but the steep hill might put people off if you have difficulty walking. Stayed in the heart of St Ives many times and it can get a bit much so this is a great escape only ten minutes away. We'll be rebooking.
Mrs Bentley Sep 2021
Absolutely fell in love with this place the minute I walked in. I felt so relaxed here. Spacious, clean, comfy with everything you need. The sea views are a massive bonus! Just be ready for the walk to and from St Ives centre, the hill is a steep hill. Take your time.
Miss Haley Sep 2021
The dolphins was a lovely home away from home, with amazing sea views and only around a 10 minute walk away from most main amenities and attractions. The house was lovely and clean on arrival.
Miss Hackett Jul 2021
It was so spacious and well equipped. We immediately felt at home and pampered by our surroundings and our lovely view. I didn't want to leave.
Mrs Lockett May 2021
We are a family with two young children and this place was absolutely perfect for us. The views from downstairs and upstairs were incredible. Waking up early with kids is the norm but when you look out of the window and see the sun rise it’s nothing short of magical. The place was very spacious and having a front and back garden meant we were able to catch the sun in the morning and afternoon. Definitely recommend this place to anyone.
Mr Wilde Apr 2021
Gorgeous and cosy cottage with fabulous sea views and in a great location. We stayed for a week and had a wonderful time. Kitchen very well equipped as well. Highly recommend!
Ms Silberstein Nov 2020
The view from the open plan living and kitchen area was excellent. The property had a nice bright feel and was equipped with everything you could possibly need. The property was ideally situated on the quiet edge of town with a pleasant 10 minute walk into the centre. It's not ideal for anyone with mobility issues, however if this is not an issue, I would highly recommend.

We are glad to hear that you liked Dolphins- 3 Carthew Court; you certainly get a lovely view from there! Sitting above the town, away from the hustle and bustle, but close enough to walk in; it does involve an uphill walk back to the property after a day at one of the stunning beaches of St Ives. As you rightly say, with the property being over 2 floors and that walk up from the town, the property may not work for everyone, but we are glad that you agreed that it was worth it. We enjoyed a relaxing week in this clean, well furnished and equipped property. Can recommend. If we had been earlier in the year the outside spaces would have been ideal.
Mrs Reynolds Oct 2020
Lovely clean place with excellent sea views. The walk into town can be steep in places but we managed fine with two very young children.
Mrs Cutting Oct 2020
Great property and shown on the images, great workout walking to the property as St Ives is quite hilly. Thank you for a great base for an amazing holiday.
Mr Ash Aug 2020
