Lovely, compact but well designed place for a couple/solo. Lots of nice touches to the fit out and everything provided we could have wished for. Lovely, quiet location with walks from the door and a nice walk into St Ives along Hain Walk.
Mr Jackson October 2024
A lovely cosy annexe, with a beautiful stone fireplace and partly exposed stone walls, ideal for one or two people. Very tastefully set up and well maintained, with everything you could possibly want for a very comfortable stay. A great location - quiet with a green outlook and only five minutes walk to the local bus stops and the local supermarket. The coastal path to St Ives is close by too. I enjoyed my very relaxing five nights stay and will definitely book Garth Annexe again!

One of the best things about a holiday in Higher St Ives is that you don’t have to leave the seaside town during your stay, everything you need is within easy walking distance. With several stunning beaches all within St Ives; from the golden bay of Porthminster, to the Blue Flag Beach at Porthmeor, there’s no need to pack up the car; simply stroll down to enjoy any one of the nearby beaches. This is the second time we have stayed at the Annex and love it. It’s in a beautiful location, with parking and had everything to make our stay enjoyable. It’s location is perfect, a nice walk down into town and beaches. Thank you.
Miss Oberholzer Sep 2024
We had a lovely short break staying at Garth Annexe which is a very cosy, comfortable and homely property. We loved the peaceful location and off road parking, it’s a perfect base from which to explore. Central St. Ives is accessible on foot for those that walk or by bus, the bus stop is very close by. Downhill all the way, uphill on the way back or take the bus or taxi. We love St Ives, we will be back - thank you Garth Annexe
Mrs Robertson May 2024
Garth Annexe is a lovely property. It’s about a 25 minute walk away from the main town. The annexe has everything you need for either a short or longer stay. The welcome tray is a great touch and a thoughtful thing to do.
Miss Holtom Apr 2024
Perfect location especially if taking a dog, lovely walks along coast to Carbis Bay and St Ives. Comfortable quirky cottage, slept really well in mezzanine bedroom which was not at all claustrophobic. Very smart bathroom and dressing area. Would definitely recommend.
Miss Bell Apr 2024
What a lovely little cottage. It has all you could need for a break away. The location is perfect, nice and quiet yet not too far from everything.
Mrs Read Apr 2024
We very much enjoyed our stay at Garth Annexe, it's a compact property with everything needed for your stay. It's in a lovely, semi-rural location and has a good choice of walks on the doorstep; you can reach St Ives on foot via the main road or the coast path and it's downhill all the way. There's a bus stop nearby if you don't fancy the walk back, which also provides links to many other towns and villages. Garth Annexe is a great base from which to explore the area.
Ms Brennan Sep 2023
Wonderful second visit. Faultless!
Mrs Griffin Aug 2023
Loved our stay at Garth Annexe. The cottage was great for a couple and in a very quiet location. We didn’t bring a car and able to easily get in and out of St Ives using the local buses, although we did find a lovely walk via the coast path which took in the spectacular scenery. Highly recommended…and we will be back for sure.
Miss Hogg Jul 2023
I can only compliment Aspect Holidays once again for an easy booking system and trouble free holiday in St Ives. I would, and have, recommended Aspect Holidays to anyone wanting to holiday in Cornwall.
Mr Murray Jun 2023
Outstanding accommodation. Lovely little cottage tucked up away with a nice drive. Beautiful views and love the little tray left with tea ect. Great idea. Shower is one of the best! Can't wait to stay here again but with our four legged friend.
Mr Sutton Jan 2023
We had a wonderful holiday at Garth annex. The cottage was really cute and had great character. The complimentary tray was a lovely surprise thank you so much. The location was great we loved the walks to the beaches and loved the peace and quite.
Mrs Griffin Jan 2023
Very comfortable, cosy cottage with everything that you need for an enjoyable holiday. Fabulous location with several lovely walks on the doorstep. The loft ladder was not a problem and the shower was probably one of the best we have ever had in any holiday property. Would definitely stay at Garth Annex again. As always, excellent service from Aspects Holidays. Mr & Mrs S Bingham
Mrs Bingham Dec 2022
A lovely cottage with everything needed for a comfortable stay. Warm, cosy and well equipped. I loved sleeping in the loft. Perfect location for exploring West Penwith. I‘d definitely stay again.
Ms Smith Nov 2022
We loved our stay. Garth annexe was as described and the ladder to bedroom was a surprise to my husband and he found it great. We was really impressed with the decor and all the attention to the small things which make a stay all the more comfortable. We walked everywhere and this was a perfect place as our base, and was a pleasure to come back to every day.
Mrs Summers Oct 2022
It was very quiet, comfortable, cosy and ideal for 2 people.
Mrs Mills Sep 2022
Lovely little cottage perfect for couples. Lovely Decor. Close to woodland walks and nature reserve. Perfect for dog walkers. Lovely quiet spot to stay.
Ms Powell Jul 2022
A lovely comfortable stay at a lovely quirky cottage, it was very quiet and allowed me to get some well neesed rest.
It is a bit of a walk to the centre of St Ives but due to how nice and quiet it is I think it's well worth being a bit out of the centre. Recommended!
Mr Grassham May 2022
What a little gem out of the way of the hustle and bustle of st ives. There are some lovely walks and stunning scenery in the surrounding area. Lovely Pub nearby ( The Cornish Arms). It is a long walk but all downhill into St Ives and we suggest getting a taxi back which is cheaper than the bus. There is parking which if you have been to St Ives before you will realise this is very valuable. We have booked with Aspects many times and we have never been disappointed. Definitely 10/10
Mr Skeats Aug 2021
Great little cottage in a good location. A little out of town and up a steep narrow lane, so maybe not so good for the less energetic. Quirky loft style mezzanine bedroom accessed via a ladder, but exactly as described. Well kitted out for an easy enjoyable stay.
Mr Murray Jul 2021
A wonderful stay in a bijou cottage, perfect for one/two people on a quiet lane. Walking distance of St Ives and the beautiful coast line. Perfectly placed on the outskirts of St Ives for travel around Mid and South Cornwall. The parking space with the cottage is a bonus in this very busy town.
The new bathroom is perfect, and you have all you you could need or want in the kitchen. The bed is very comfortable once you learn to navigate the space. I would definitely stay here again.
Ms White May 2021
Found this little gem of a cottage really lovely, with a parking space for the car and a wood burner for chilly evenings, the kitchen was well equipped and we loved the quirky little ladder up to the bedroom. Will definitely be staying here again when visiting St Ives, a fabulous little cottage !
Mrs Morgan, Oct 2020
Mrs Morgan Oct 2020
Spent a lovely, relaxing five days at Garth Annex .It is a very cosy little cottage. A big advantage for me was having a parking space as I drive a classic MG.Can highly recommend the Cornish Arms at the bottom of the hill, excellent beer and food. A walk up the hill is worth doing to visit Steeple Wood and the monument, great views.Hope to stay again next year.Richard 3-8th October 2020.
Mr Neate Oct 2020
Told we couldn't arrive until 5pm on Saturday due to additional cleaning required (covid 19). When we arrived we were greeted by a pile of dead leaves at the front door, which blew in as soon as the door was opened. Surely they could have been removed? On closer inspection of the property it became clear that the cleaning was not up to what I call a reasonable standard - and certainly not any additional cleaning had taken place. The first glass out of the cupboard still had marks on it from a previous user!! In all but a few of the corners there were cobwebs and the Velux windows when opened were disgusting. Bath drain was almost completely blocked by hair, which we had to remove before use. On arrival at least 3 of the LED bulbs we not working!! Behind the television is a damp patch on the wall which requires treatment - is very unsightly and has mould on it which is not healthy. Skirting boards in the lounge area were all dirty and needed a good clean. I would say that the property was in need of redecoration and some general maintenance.

We are really sorry to hear of your disappointment. We would always expect the level of cleanliness in the properties that we market, to be always extremely high, not just in the current pandemic. We have put extra procedures in place with the owners and their housekeepers, and whilst it is difficult to comment on something like this, after your holiday has taken place, we are very sorry and disappointed if some areas were missed or not to the high standard that you would expect. We have passed on your comments to the housekeeper and have passed on your feedback and suggestions to the property owner. It has been an exceptionally busy few months with properties being solidly booked since they were able to be opened again, so whilst the property owner is very proactive, quick to address anything that may crop up at the property, and always likes the property to be in the best condition for her guests, there has not been as much opportunity this year and we are certain that she will be very grateful of your comments so that any necessary improvements can be made. We do hope that you still had a great time here in Cornwall and we hope that we may see you back here soon. Tanya, Customer Services
Our second visit to the Garth Annexe as we loved it so much last time we were there. Disappointed this time with the cleanliness, especially as we lost 4 hrs of our stay for the cleaners to do what they are supposed to do. We won`t be coming back !!

We were very sorry to read that upon returning to a property that you loved, you did not have the same great experience that you had on your first visit, as we would always expect for guests to arrive and the property be spotless. Now being aware of this, we have followed up with the housekeeper, though we are sorry that we were not aware at the time so that we could get any areas of concern rectified. We do hope that aside from the disappointment upon arrival, that you were able to have a fantastic holiday here in St Ives and we hope that we will get the chance to welcome you back to Cornwall again in the future. Ben, Customer Services
Stayed at Garth annex with our dog for a week in August. It’s a great place for two people, excellent amenities on site and close to a variety of activities. Dogs aren’t allowed on the beaches generally until after 6pm in the summer but there are plenty of National Trust coastal walks nearby. Be aware the approach road to the cottage is very narrow in places. Would we stay agin- most definitely
Mrs Mellor Sep 2020
Excellent accommodation that is very nicely situated. Cosy and comfortable. Aspects Holidays, however, are very difficult to contact unless you want to spend an hour waiting on the phone - so ask as many questions as you can before you go on holiday.

We are really sorry for the difficulty that you had getting in touch with the team on the phone. Unfortunately in the current circumstances, during this pandemic, we have been dealing with our usual workload on top of being absolutely inundated with both enquiries for new bookings and queries from those with bookings already in place, who understandably, have questions about how their booking may impacted by current and any future restrictions. We have been trying to respond to calls and emails as quickly as we possibly can, and we are very sorry that this is taking so much longer than usual, as it is not the level of service that we would usually offer, or want to offer. We are glad that you had a great time here and hopefully we will get to welcome you back in more 'normal' times. Tanya, Customer Services
Beautiful location, cottage was very cosy and would be perfect for a couple. Property was very clean and had everything we needed ie, saucepans, cooking dishes etc. Would suggest walking into St Ives as you can look around the shops and sit on the beach/harbour. Locals are all very friendly and polite. Looe is a lovely place to visit, can do crabbing and pic up some lovely fish and chips.
Would also recommend going to Rick Steins fish and chips, absolutely delicious and can visit the beautiful beaches!
Will be definitely returning to Garth Annex in the future!
Ms Rutherford Jul 2020
The Annex is just perfect. Everything is supplied that you could wish for and the location is ideal, situated between the Knill and St Ives beaches just a stroll away. It is convenient for the local supermarket and Costa Coffee and there is a lovely pub down the end of the lane (which is a little narrow). It is also a bonus that the Annex is dog friendly plus there is a parking space. We have been lucky enough to stay a few times. A little gem of a place.
Mrs Penney Dec 2019
We had lovely time at garth annexe. It was a nice 20 min stroll to the centre of St Ives when the weather was nice. Also a lovely cosy space with the Woodburner on the drizzly days. Everything we needed in the kitchen to cook At the end of the day too. Thankyou
Ms Smith Nov 2019
Garth Annex is a small, er, annex of the main building but perfectly adequate for 2 people and a dog. It is very well and modernly equipped with excellent facilities. It has an idiosyncratic, four foot high bedroom up a ladder, but this is fully and accurately described in Aspect Holidays information, and is not a problem once the ladder is scaled and one gets used to the low ceiling. The location is on a lane up a hill on the edge of St Ives, but has a parking space and a little further up the hill are quiet woodland walks, just right for the dog. It is a bit of a trek to St Ives and its beaches which like most Cornish/British beaches are anti-dog until end September. We visited in October when they are brilliant for dog walkers.
Mr Roberts Oct 2019
A beautiful unique cottage in a perfect location , had a fabulous week enjoyed the gentle stroll each day into St Ives with our dog , even the pub at the bottom of the lane was enjoyable , a super week away
Mr Payne Sep 2019
Garth Annexe was a delightful compact holiday home. It has everything you need for a weeks getaway in lovely St Ives
Mr Mackie Aug 2019
Wonderful stay in the cottage, stairs to the bedroom aren’t to bad and we loved lying on our bed looking through the window at the stars.
Would highly recommend walking up to the nature reserve and looking out over the view point of St Ives.
We’ve been travelling to St Ives for the last 15 years and normally stay at a time share accommodation, but as this is not pet friendly we chose to stay at Garth annexe which was a perfect stay, we will probably be booking again for next year very soon.
Also liked the touch of free treats for the dog when we collected our keys.
Overall a fabulous stay and I would highly recommend this property.
Mrs Brewerton Jul 2019
Wonderful holiday in st ives stayed in garth annex please realise if you take your dog there is no garden or outside space

We are delighted to hear how much you enjoyed your time at Garth Annexe. Whilst the property is advertised as accepting pets, this will not always mean that a property has an enclosed garden or suitable space for a dog, but we will always try to show that as clearly as possible within photos and descriptions of the property, and only advertise facilities that are included as opposed to listing what a property does not have. We are so sorry if this had been something that you had expected to find there, but glad to hear that you had a great time here nonetheless. Tanya, Customer Services
Well situated place to explore St. Ives and its suroundings, small, with a really cozy bedroom, if you don't mind to climb up a ladder. All rooms nicely decorated. Kitchen was not my favorite. Bit dark, just a little bit of morning sun, bit cold and looking right to the car park, not to spend more time there than necessary. Beside the kitchen there is no living room. OK for sleeping and a quick breakfast.
Mrs Kulicka May 2019

We are sorry if you had not been completely satisfied with your chosen property. The layout is a little quirky, with those ladders to the sleeping area and your living/seating area being in the same space as the kitchen. Many find the unusual layout part of the charm and appeal of this property, but we appreciate that it may not suit everyone, so we try to make this as clear as possible within the photos and description. We do hope that you still enjoyed it, especially being in that fantastic location, and hope that we will see you back in St Ives again soon. Tanya, Customer Services
Fabulous find !! Would definitely make the Garth Annexe our base when in the area again !!
Mr Lewis Apr 2019

Garth annexe was a lovely quiet place to stay close enough to everything.it was home from home and so well equipped and clean.the staff are so helpful and friendly. We will be booking again in the future hopefully this year!
Mrs Barney Jan 2019
The annex was perfect in every way from the location to linen and towels provided. The appliances were very user friendly and the information packs covered all you needed to know about St Ives . Where to eat and suggested walks were helpful guides.
Mrs Penney Jan 2019
The property is quirky, decorated well and it’s location is perfect for St Ives. Walked to most places so didn’t need car for most of the break. Area was quiet, nice nature walks close by, even saw shooting stars from our bed! Lovely break.
Miss Edwards Nov 2018
A fantastic cosy place! Perfect for a few days break with your partner. Would come again recommend to friends.
Mr Ternouth Jul 2018
What a fantastic place to stay, the Garth annexe is so quirky it definitely felt like a home from home it's amazing how much you can fit in a small living space. The trip to bed really wasn't that bad at all I'm 5ft 9 and had no issues getting up there! There is so much to do within walking distance we only used the car once! I would definitely recommend this cottage.
Miss Page May 2018
Really nice little place. Comfy and Cozy. Well equipped with ample parking.
Mrs Morris Jan 2018
Good value for money for a short break. It is a bit of a walk into St Ives but we knew this beforehand and was good exercise for us and the dogs!
Mr Davies Dec 2017
A beautiful quirky cottage, within walking distance of a lovely pub and St Ives. The property is also on a walk that takes you to a great vantage point which is breathtaking at sunrise and sunset! The property was great for me, my husband, our 10 week old baby and our pug, would definitely reccommend!
Mrs Molnar Nov 2017
The annexe is in a beautiful area with some lovely walks. It’s a quirky annexe, however a few things could be improved such as the heating problem, bed comfort and cleanliness.

We are very sorry that you experienced issues with that radiator. This has now been attended to, so thank you for letting us know. We have spoken to the housekeeper to ask that she double checks that cutlery and crockery has been put away in clean condition and to ensure that the fireplace is cleaned. From your further feedback, we understand that mattress comfort was good, but you found the pillows to be too hard for you personally. With everyone's tastes on things like this being different, the owner will not be replacing these at this stage, but we will continue to monitor for any further feedback. We do hope that you still enjoyed your time here. Tanya, Customer Services
Perfect for two people. The access to the sleeping area was not a problem.if anything it added to the enjoyment of staying there,it was a very clever way of building a sleeping area into such a quirky little cottage. The cottage was warm, clean and provided all that was needed in both fixtures and fittings. The location was excellent, just out of the town, close enough for walking in,up hill on the way back.very pleased that we chose the cottage, and would have no problem in recommending both Aspects and Garth Annexe to others.
Mr Parker Oct 2017
Fantastic property. Ideal for a couple wanting to escape there hectic work life. Peacefull and easy walking distance to both Carbis Bay and St.Ives. 10 out of 10.
