Blue Coral is a great place to stay in St Ives. The accommodation is clean, modern, comfortable and has everything you might need. A bus stop is right outside the house which means you don’t need to take a car into the town and they are very frequent. Fantastic views of the town and harbour. We had a lovely time there with our son, daughter in law and 3 year old grand daughter. Would thoroughly recommend this property.

Beaches in St Ives

With your holiday cottage in St Ives, you’ll be perfectly placed within walking distance of several stunning beaches. With each beach boasting its own charm and appeal; you'll find something for everyone, with family-friendly beaches, popular watersports venues, wide-open flat sands and hidden rock pools.

Harbour Beach - You can't get much more central to St Ives than Harbour Beach, which sits proudly in front of the bustling shops of St Ives (meaning you have immediate access to all the ice cream and places to eat you could need). Build sandcastles and swim in the safety of the harbour for a perfectly placed beach day in St Ives. See what you can expect with our St Ives Harbour webcam here.

Porthmeor - With the impressive Tate St Ives as its backdrop, Porthmeor beach is easily recognisable. Favoured by surfers and swimmers alike, this sandy beach is great for every kind of beach day from relaxed to energetic – or a mix of the two! It’s also one of only eight beaches in Cornwall to holda Blue Flag Award, which positions it at the top for quality, safety and environmental management.

Porthminster - With a café practically on the beach for ice creams and any forgotten picnic essentials (like more ice cream), the golden sands of Porthminster are always beckoning for a beach day. Palm trees dot the outskirts of the beach, adding a tropical feel to the beach. Combine this with the balmy climate of St Ives and you’ve got a Mediterranean holiday without climbing on a plane.

Porthgwidden - This sheltered beach is a veritable sun trap in the summer months, creating another glorious spot for swimming in St Ives. Family friendly with a superb café overlooking the beach, Porthgwidden might not be the biggest beach but it’s certainly one of the best. Simply stretch out on the soft sand and let the sound of waves take you away.

Lambeth Walk - Although it only exists at high tide, Lambeth Walk beach offers dogs the chance to run free right in the middle of St Ives. Just next to the lifeboat station, you’re a few seconds away from the joys of the harbour meaning you can enjoy an ice cream while the pup enjoys digging its way to the centre of the earth on this wonderfully quiet beach.

Dog-friendly pubs and restaurants

Hub St Ives - Burgers, dogs and beers is the mantra of the original Hub in St Ives so gather up the whole family and head inside to make the most of all three.

In St Ives the best way to get around is, of course, on foot. However, if you wish to explore more of West Cornwall, there’s a train station in St Ives, which takes you on the most beautiful coastal train journey to St Erth station, from which you can catch connecting trains to Penzance, Truro and further afield. Alternatively, by car, you could take the stunning coastal road from St Ives across to Penzance and onto Land’s End. Within St Ives itself, there are a variety of Council owned car parks you can use.

Fantastic location for a family holiday, only a 5/10 min walk to Porthminster beach which is one of the cleanest and safest beaches you will ever find. St Ives itself is beautiful, plenty to see and do.

The house itself is practical and spacious with everything you could possibly need while you’re away. The view from the top bedroom is just stunning.

The only downside is the garden is not really a garden and is quite overlooked. However, it’s a small price to pay for a fantastic location.

We have just returned from a wonderful week in St Ives, staying in Blue Coral. The house has breathtaking views of the Atlantic and a lovely terrace to enjoy outdoor meals and relax. The property itself is absolutely beautiful. The interior design gorgeous. Beautifully and thoughtfully furnished and extremely well equipped. The house was spotlessly clean and we were welcomed with Cornish tea, scones, jam and clotted cream. The property is full of light and wonderfully spacious. The master bedroom with ensuite has the most amazing views over St Ives and at night, the twinkling lights of the fishing boats. It has access to the coastal path down to either St Ives and the beautiful beaches there, or to the famous Carbis Bay. The only negative is when you have to pack up your cases and leave! We will definately be back!!

Absolutely lovely house. The views are incredible- especially from the master bedroom upstairs. Easy walk to the centre of town and all the local beaches. We didn’t get in the car once all week. Highly recommend.

Blue Coral is a beautiful house with amazing views. The beds are really comfy and the whole house is very stylish. The master bedroom especially is amazing. It's an easy walk into town and to the beaches. We wouldn't hesitate to stay there again. Aspects were great, and were very quick to deal with a small problem when we arrived.

Blue Coral undeniably exceeded all our expectations! One of the most beautiful locations we’ve stayed at: its interior design provided an original, modern, creative flair while remaining perfectly practical in every detail. We very much appreciated the thoughtful welcome pack on arrival. The view of St Ives from the top bedroom was truly inspiring! It was an absolute pleasure staying there.

Absolutely stunning property done to a very, very high standard. The master bedroom was gorgeous, location is perfect and the view is just out of this world. The property also has a secure place to park 2 cars. A gorgeous welcome pack on arrival that was a very nice touch. We cannot wait to come back and would definitely stay here again. You will not be disappointed if you stay in this beautiful property
