Apartment great Seaview from big windows parking space Is a bonus but okay going into st ives Walking back requires going up very steep hills or steps And then windy steps to actually get up to the apartment.

Rough Seas Loft offers good value for money for a stay for two in St Ives. The location is great for the beaches, shops and harbour which are only short walks away (up hill on way back of course). Lovely views over Porthmeor and Clodgy Point, plus a view of Godrevy from the back. Barnoon carpark is directly in front of the property, the lift has a parking space directly outside, (one of three for the whole property), which fits a large /long car and is a real bonus, especially when you see the cars going round and round the carpark looking for spaces! We didn’t use our car all week. The loft is very airy and spacious, the fixtures, fittings and equipment are all ok but some could do with a refresh for added comfort / ease of use. The spiral staircase with 29 steps to the loft is fine as long as no mobility issues. Would return.
Mrs Feierabend Jun 2024
We have had a lovely week at Rough Seas Loft. The views are excellent and we were lucky to have great weather and stunning sunsets. Being able to park outside and walk everywhere in St Ives was a real bonus.
Mrs Gallegos Apr 2024
Great apartment with fantastic views and everything you need.
Mrs Wise Apr 2024
Rough Seas Loft has excellent views and the parking space is generous and is easy to access and exit. If you like a coffee I would not usually expect a coffee machine, but I would expect a basic cafetiere. We had to buy one as the flat has none and I think it is as basic as having a kettle. The TV reception is very poor and the extractor fan in the bathroom does not work. After saying that, the flat is not expensive. If you are looking for fancy, this is not for you.

Thank you for your feedback, we are glad that you enjoyed the stunning view from Rough Seas Loft. We are sorry the cafetiere was missing; it should have been there, and had we known at the time, we would have supplied you with one straight away. Thanks for letting us know about the tv reception and extractor fan, we will notify the owner and check on those now being aware. Thanks again for the information and we hope you enjoyed St Ives. Rough Seas Loft is a great property in an excellent location - minutes from the beach & all the local shops. Fantastic views & amazing sunsets!
Mr Hurley Sep 2023
Rough Seas Loft is at an excellent location of beaches, shops and restaurants of St Ives. It has an amazing view of ocean to enjoy the sunset. The loft is well equipped with all the facilities needed for our 1 week stay including entertainment like books and games. They even had some toilet rolls, kitchen foil, detergent and fabric softener so that we did not need to hassle to get everything on day 1 of our stay. The best thing is the parking lot right in front of the apartment.
The TV has the basic channels however it didn't have good connections during our stay probably because of the weather which we were a bit unlucky and we only got to enjoy just 1 day of sunset in our week. The loft was pretty clean though the shower was a bit weak. Overall it was a great stay in the loft and I would love to be back again next time I visit St Ives.

Thanks so much for taking the time to leave a review following your stay at Rough Seas Loft. That view really is something special! We are sorry to hear you experienced a bit of a problem with the TV reception. As you rightly said, it is likely that this was caused by poor weather, but we will keep a close eye out on feedback and speak to the owner if this continues. We also wanted to thank you for letting us know about the shower water pressure, we will notify the owner and check on that now we are aware. Thank you again and we hope to be able to welcome you back to St Ives soon, hopefully when the sun is shining! Lucy, Customer Services
This is our 3rd visit to Rough Seas Loft and we are planning on booking for next year. It really is a home from home. The apartment has everything you could need. The views are excellent, especially the sunsets. Well worth the hike up the hill from St Ives. Parking outside is a massive bonus.
Mrs Moreman Jun 2023
Lovely, light airy apartment with great sea views and amazingly quiet at night. It also overlooks the Barnoon long stay car-park so is great for people watching too! :) The flat was beautifully clean and is very well equipped for a short break and it's a huge bonus to have a decent sized parking space right outside. I loved being a few minutes away from Porthmeor beach and the Tate and also within easy walking distance of St Ives centre even though though it's uphill all the way back! Just to be aware, in case this matters, whilst I was there the Wi-Fi was prone to vanishing unexpectedly for hours and the TV reception was very intermittent. I would definitely stay here again.

We are pleased to hear that you enjoyed the location of Rough Seas Loft, the sea views are pretty spectacular whatever the weather! As you say, having an allocated parking space is most definitely an advantage in St Ives, where parking is at a premium. The uphill walk can be a bit of a workout when you are returning to the property after a long and busy day exploring, but we like to think the view makes up for it!
We are incredibly sorry to hear that you experienced some issues with Wi-Fi and television reception during your stay. We can never guarantee Wi-Fi strength and speed at a property, but we do urge you to get in touch at the time of your stay if you are having difficulties and we'll be more than happy to help however we can. Katy, Customer Services.
The apartment has all you need. The view is great and you can also enjoy watching the surfers and the poor souls trying to find a space in the town car park opposite. Lots of restaurants to choose from especially if you like fish but book ahead. The number of people in St Ives with small dogs was extraordinary.
Dr Browning May 2023
This was our second stay in the loft apartment. Great views and car parking space a bonus. Only a couple of things to comment on - we didn’t find the bed particularly comfortable and the middle part of the grill didn’t work. However we enjoyed a lovely week with plenty of walking and the bonus of very good weather (unexpected in October!) St. ives is picture perfect with lots of excellent restaurants and cafes.

Thank you for letting us know about this. It can be very difficult to find a mattress that will suit everyone's preferences, but we will check this on our next inspection and monitor further feedback. With oven, it is often something like the clock needing to be set with things like this, but we will pass on your feedback to the owner and can assist them with organising any trades. Thanks again for the information. We are glad that you had another great stay and hopefully we will see you back again. Tanya, Customer Services
A lovely bright and airy apartment. The views over Porthmeor Beach and the surrounding area are stunning - you can check out the waves and watch the sunset. We didn't watch tv because it was better looking out of the window :) The parking space outside is excellent (easy to get in and out of) and it's great that driving to and from the apartment cuts out the really congested parts of St Ives. From the apartment there is a path down to Porthmeor Beach, and also to the shops - it's a walk up hill to get back to the apartment (that's why the views are great). There is a spiral stair case up to Rough Seas Loft but it's very solid and sturdy. Overall, a really lovely apartment, well located with the bonus of car parking, stunning views and a washing machine!
Mrs Howes Aug 2022
Rough Seas Loft is a fantastic place to stay. Great location, fabulous views and very clean, bright and airy. The only thing to consider if looking to stay here is the 30 step spiral staircase that takes you up to the 2nd floor property…very worth it for the views but could prove tricky for some. Having a very decent size parking space is a huge bonus and an absolute must when holidaying in St Ives particularly at peak times!
Miss Martin Aug 2022
Amazing location being 5 minutes from the lovely beach. We had brilliant weather which made our stay even better. The apartment is as described and although has spiral stairs up to the flat they are quite wide and solid. The Fridge was small and the flat is probably better suited for 2 people rather than 3 in terms of storage.

Thank you for your feedback. The owner has tried to offer flexible sleeping arrangements for up to 4, with a zip and link bed that can be made to a king or left as 2 singles, and a sofa bed in the living area that can sleep up to 2. The space and storage may not suit all parties of 4, so we try to show and describe this as best as possible on the website. We are glad that you found everything was as expected from the description and that you enjoyed it there and that the property worked well for you. Tanya, Customer Services
Excellent place to stay will be returning. Excellent views. You have to be fit to climb the spiral staircase and it’s up hill from town.

The spiral staircase and location at the top of St Ives are definitely important things to consider before booking, if you have any kind of considerations around mobility. If you don't mind a bit of an uphill walk and those steps into the property though, the incredible views once inside, make it well worthwhile! We are glad that you enjoyed it. Tanya, Customer Services
Lovely apartment and fabulous views! Walking distance to everything and really great having a designated parking space! Will definitely be back! The 28 steps up the spiral staircase may put some people off - need to be mobile but then there are plenty of hills in St Ives so good for exercise!!
Mrs Chadwick Mar 2022
A wonderful flat to spend a week in over Christmas, with a fantastic view over Porthmeor beach and the sea - just beautiful. Well appointed and comfortable, its a great place for a couple to relax in with a nice big bed and plenty of room to make meals and watch the surfers! As others have mentioned the parking space is a bonus and whilst its on the second floor, the spiral staircase is enclosed and very sturdy, so much easier than we'd imagined. A lovely flat and the usual great service from Aspects.
Mr Moffatt Dec 2021
Lovely spacious apartment which was in an excellent location. Only 5 minutes walk into town. Great views from all windows. Would definitely stay here again. Parking a bonus too.
Mrs Barber Dec 2021
We enjoyed a lovely week at Rough Seas Loft. An unexpected bonus was the weather. Very warm and sunny for October! We felt like we were abroad! St.Ives is an idyllic town with beautiful beaches. The views from the apartment are amazing! As is the location. We found a few short cuts down to the beaches and the parking space was an added bonus. Great black out blinds, plenty of hot water and heat. Tea, coffee and a pint of milk waiting for us in the fridge, which was very welcome after a long journey. There is a spiral staircase up to the flat, but it’s very secure - just worth mentioning in case any one has mobility issues. Would highly recommend this apartment. We will definitely return.
MR BALL Oct 2021
Light & airy flat with stunning views from each window, from sunrise to sunset. Great location with the added bonus of a parking space, all within a short walk from the beach or town, what more could you ask for. Please note, you will need to walk up 29 spiralling stairs to benefit from these views.
Mrs Trott Sep 2021
Another great holiday in St Ives. The perfect place to be in September when it isn't quite as crowded. One thing, would advise anyone wanting to book a restaurant in the evening - book before the holiday. It was almost impossible to make a reservation when we got here as we usually do. Staycation obviously has had an effect.
Mrs Wise Sep 2021
The apartment is quiet and in a great location with a fab view of the sea from the sofa. The velux blackout blinds make it easy to get a good nights sleep.
Ms Wickenden Sep 2021
Stunning location. Lovely walks around the surroundings and St Ives. The parking space was an added bonus, particularly when seeing the difficulties others had in the car park below! Aspect were so helpful with any queries I had. We had such a wonderful holiday and have come home with 2 extremely happy children. Thank you Aspect for the stress free booking and holiday. We are already looking to book for next time.
Mr Parton Aug 2021
Fabulous location overlooking the beach, the parking space is a bonus! It is five mins to Portmeor beach in front of the apartment, excellent for sunsets. Town is very close and walking up the hill back isn't that bad! Great storage shed under the apartment for beach gear. Would definitely go back - but watch out for the seagulls.
Ms Long Jul 2021
Very well situated in St Ives, so long as you are able for the climb up to Barnoon every day. Large parking space with easy routes out of St Ives without having to drive through the throngs in the town. Nice large bed (when specified as a double). Lovely sea views through the Windows, with the added bonus of watching the carnage that is finding a space in Barnoon Car Park.
Mr Delaney Jul 2021
We had a wonderful if rainy week in St Ives. All the more reason why we enjoyed the amazing view from the apartment window and the books and dvd's provided. This apartment is in a prime location but not for the faint hearted, as there is an outside spiral staircase to get to the apartment and steep acsent into town, but only 5 minutes away. We went for the walking and there was a walk to Zennor straight from the apartment.
Mrs Moreman Jun 2021
Lovely decor in this spacious apartment. Great sea views from all the windows. Bit of a climb up from the town but worth it as it was a quiet area. And the private parking was an absolute necessity!
Ms Riley May 2021
Ideal location, lovely apartment, light and airy with stunning views. Parking perfect.
Mrs Waite May 2021
The accommodation has spectacular views from every window in the apartment. It was clean and comfortable and has everything you could need on your stay. It is situated on top of a steep hill and then there is a spiral staircase to the apartment so probably not suitable if you have issues with mobility. But saying that it is close to the main shopping and restaurants if you can manage the climb back. We loved it and will definitely be returning.
Mr Webber May 2021
ROUGH SEAS LOFT, ST IVES The apartment had everything we needed (apart from a dishwasher!). Spiral stairs weren't as bad a we thought they were going to be. Quite wide treads and covered. Great view to the sea, but you do need to get used to looking over the large and very busy carpark. The walk down the steep hill to the town was fine, it was the walk back up that was tiring! Definitely worth it though! Having our own parking space was fantastic, especially with watching the parking wars going on in the carpark opposite!!
Mr Hobbs Oct 2020

Thank you for your review. We were delighted to see that you found the apartment had everything you needed and that you found the staircase to be easier than you had expected. The hill up to the property is a bit of steep one, but we were happy to see you felt it was worth it, due to the property's fantastic location and lovely sea views. Whilst you have the carpark opposite; we hope that you agreed that this does not detract from those lovely sea views just past that. If you are lucky enough to be here on a sunny, clear week in particular, you can experience some amazing sunset views from there. Thanks again, we hope to see you again soon! Ben, Customer Services
This is a great apartment with fantastic views and parking outside which is a real bonus in St Ives. This is particularly apparent when watching people try to find a parking space in the car park opposite! Good location as long as you don't mind the steep walk back - good exercise though. Great to watch the surfers on Porthmeor Beach from the lounge windows. There is a small deli just up the road which is really handy if you don't want to go down to the town centre. Just watch the closing times as it seems to close quite early in the afternoon. Overall a great place to stay.
Mrs Wise Sep 2020
A lovey, airy loft with great views. Fantastic open space, with lots of natural light, perfect for 2 guests, or a family of 4. The apartment was exactly as described, with all furnishing that you would need for a comfy and enjoyable stay (and a very sought after private parking space) Fresh tea, coffee, sugar and milk left for arrival, which is enough to last the week, and perfect to find after a long drive.
Mr Brockley Sep 2020
A lovely bright and airy apartment. Great views and parking a bonus. We had a very comfortable week, good facilities for self-catering. Much better than some cottages we have stayed in. Would recommend this apartment and we hope to stay again.
Mrs Skinner Jul 2019
We had a lovely holiday in St Ives. Rough Seas loft is bright and spacious with amazing views across Porthmeor. It is well located near to everything but also removed from the crowds. Perfect...
Ms Whitaker Jun 2019
This is a great apartment for two people with fantastic views and parking directly outside.
