Shopping in St Ives
From books to jewellery to freshly made food, shopping in St Ives is a Cornish tradition thanks to the cobbled streets and independent shops that line them.
This delightful cottage has been lovingly restored to create a cosy home from home for families, or couples sharing and their pooch! The property has its own small decked area to the rear, perfect for relaxing with your favourite tipple, after a busy day on the beach or sightseeing. It also benefits from sea views in the master bedroom and with two bathrooms - one upstairs and one downstairs, there's no messing around in the mornings, which means getting to the beach quicker! You are only a three minute walk to the harbour, shops and restaurants and a ten minute walk to either Porthmeor or Porthminster beach, or even Bamaluz, an all year round dog friendly beach.
step from the front door into the hall:
induction hob, electric oven, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, table with seating for six, corner sofa, woodburner, TV/DVD, doors to outside area.
small decked area with table and four chairs.
bath with shower over, WC, basin, washing machine.
king size bed, hanging pegs, sea views.
zip and link beds (king or twin) hanging pegs.
walk-in wet room style shower, WC, basin.
This property was formally known as Podes - 3 Wesley Place, gas central heating. Sorry bedrooms too small to accomodate a cot, WiFi, one small dog welcome.
Benjamins bolthole is in a great location for you to be able to walk and explore in St ives. The house itself was spotless with lovely furnishing and everything you would need for your stay. Really easy check in. Would recommend and would stay again. Many thanks

We are very sorry if the standard of cleanliness was not to the usual high level that you would have expected from the properties that we market; we can only apologise if any areas had been missed. Thank you for letting us know at the time, and for your understanding as we helped get things sorted so you could enjoy the rest of your stay. It's great to hear that you had a lovely break and enjoyed all of the facilities on offer at Benjamin's Bolthole. Katy, Customer Services

Mr Terry Mar 2024
Had a super Autumnal week’s stay in Podes.
It’s a warm, welcoming and cozy cottage, comfortable furnishings and especially the beds.
We loved the location, so handy for the town, shops restaurants and beaches and still a very quiet street. Really slept well here!
Appreciated having a downstairs bathroom as well as an upstairs shower room.
Aspects staff very helpful .
Would book again!!
Mrs Evanson Oct 2023
Lovely property in a great location / close to town but in a quiet backwater. Lovely comfy bed, and well equipped.
Mrs Rhodes Oct 2023
This was our first time using Aspects and I would thoroughly recommend using them. Great customer service and a welcome pack! We enjoyed staying at Podes, good, central location but very peaceful. The cottage had everything you could need, 2 bathrooms, lovely furnishings, outside deck area, dishwasher, washing machine and comfortable sofa and beds. We loved that the beaches and shops are so close by. We parked at the Rugby club for the week for a reasonable price, there is a bus from Royal Square.
Mrs Rossiter Jul 2023
The location is very convenient for the harbour & shops and a very quiet street. Having an outside patio was a real treat, we enjoyed having the doors open bringing the outside in. We would definitely stay again and highly recommend it
Mr Gilks May 2023
Very happy after another stay at Podes-clean and tidy accommodation- excellent location
Mrs John May 2023
We loved the location, very comfy bed with crisp white linen, nice hot showers, cosy log fire, lots of attractive artwork, cute little terrace.
Ms Frankland Mar 2023
We adored staying at PODES. It's such a homely, gorgeous house and clearly has had a lot of love given to it. There was a tiny bit of family history in the arrival guide which was so lovely to read too, alongside the cream tea and goodies that were waiting for us. It felt like home very quickly! The location is great and you get to escape most of St Ives hills staying here too which is a bonus! The lack of parking wasn't really an issue as we've been coming to St Ives for many years and know how sparse parking is. We simply left the car at the leisure centre car park and took out time walking up the big hill as and when we needed too. (Highly recommend getting a weekly rover ticket for parking as definitely saves money and you can use it at lots of other places too, not just St Ives). We'd definitely have booked PODES again except it's already booked, which frankly isn't a surprise.
Mrs Platt Sep 2022
Lovely cottage in great location. Minutes from everything but very quiet at night, apart from the seagulls of course!!!!!
Mr Baker Aug 2022
Our third stay in St. Ives, third time with Aspects, but first at Podes.
Wesley place in my opinion is the best location (stay in a different house on the street previously too). Perfect to all beaches, the town centre and less than a minute walk to Co-op for essentials.
Podes itself is a fantastic property with all you need. Two bathrooms worked well - downstairs was great for getting washed down after the beach. Two good sized bedrooms, with an unexpected sea view.
A small entrance hall also sectioned the house off from the main street which was good with to children walking around, and meant we had somewhere to store pram etc without feeling it was all on top of us.
I would highly recommend this property, and aspects to anyone!
Mr Millar Jul 2022
Another really lovely week in Podes. The house is cosy and very comfortable and having two bathrooms is an added bonus. Perfect location for the harbour, beaches, coastal path walks and shops. (Highly recommend the bread shop in the main street their sourdough is delicious!) We will definately return.
Mrs Dean May 2022
Great house and location.
Mr Lestet May 2022
Great location and perfect accommodation for a family of 4 plus a dog. Really enjoyed our stay and will definitely be returning.
Mrs Mills Apr 2022
Another great holiday with aspects
Mrs Marshall Apr 2022
Stayed 5 days at Podes, with spring arriving we had fabulous weather for the week, would have a morning coffee out on the small garden terrace because it was a little sun trap there, followed by a short and easy stroll to town and the beaches with our dog. The beds were very comfy with big fluffy towels too, we found it great there are two bathrooms and a washing machine. The Bedrooms are small, but the fabulous open plan kitchen, dining and living room meant no one more wanted to be in their bedrooms apart from to sleep. The location is fantastic, 2 minute walk to a supermarket and the shops in town, being close enough to be in the heart of it very quickly but then situated not on a route with traffic, cars or even many walkers going by. The cottage had everything we needed and suited us perfectly, absolutely loved having the log burner one the evenings, we didn’t want to leave! We parked the car at Barnoon car park which is up a very steep hill, but wow what an amazing view when you get there. we left the car for the entire time, but upon exploring there are actually several car parks in short distance to the cottage to choose from, even one which was slightly more expensive but only a 1 minute walk away which is ideal. We loved Podes, Thankyou so much, we look forward to booking again :)
Miss Altoft Mar 2022
Cottage very well situated for everything.just a few minutes walk to the harbour and restaurants.very well equipped for self catering.would definitely recommend
Ms Strickland Feb 2022
Fantastic last minute stay here. The virtual booking team were excellent in sorting out my booking for the arrival date I needed. The cottage is so well appointed with a lovely wood burner which made it extra special . We had a welcome pack of goodies which was a lovely surprise. Bed super comfy. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely return to this property
Mr Beagley Dec 2021
We spent a great week in Podes in November. The cottage is furnished to a high standard and the beds are super comfy. The location is brilliant, super close to town but tucked away enough to be quiet and relaxing. Two bathrooms was a bonus. The stairs are pretty steep which wasn’t a problem for us but could be for less able people. Highly recommended
Mrs Barratt Nov 2021
Great terraced cottage in the heart of StIves. Comfy beds warm and cosy. We loved staying here. We felt at home and enjoyed a week with our furbaire Rufus.
Mrs Blackmore Nov 2021
This cottage is in a perfect central location in St Ives, without being too close to the busy/noisier areas. Big enough for two couples who dont mind being in close quarters - the two bathrooms helps with that. The decor was lovely and homely and the beds were very comfortable. The cottage was almost perfect, only thing that was disappointing was the cleanliness. The entire place could do with a deep clean and it was very dusty and dirty in some areas.
Miss De Cecco Oct 2021
Brilliant location wonderful cottage right at the heart of st ives would definitely use this company again 10 out 10 for everything
Mr Davies Sep 2021
This is a great property within a 2 minute walk of the hustle and bustle of the shopping streets and beaches. The property was really quiet at night, which was perfect. Great sized property for 4 adults, and great small outside space which was a sun trap. A big thank you to Nicole at the St Ives Aspects office who was really helpful when we had a query about the heating. Really enthusiastic, and professional. Thank you, til next time!
Mr Walkerdine Apr 2021

Mr Soden Oct 2020
Podes is an ideal cottage for 2-4 people it is well equipped and very near the town centre. There is a small car park nearby that changes £12 for 24 hours. Would recommend booking restaurants before arrival as they have reduced capacity due to Covid and you may struggle to get reservations on the day. Overall a great place.
Mr Chamberlain Sep 2020
A fabulous house. Felt very homely. Perfect location. Will definately go back.
Mrs Eldridge Sep 2020
Always great service and greeted with a lovely smiling face at the office when we picked up key safe code. Gorgeous little house, clean, well equipped and lovely furnishings. Very comfortable. Great location so easy access to everything you need. Would definitely stay there again!

Mr Hodges Jun 2019
Great location, cosy cottage. Well equipped.
Mrs Bairstow Apr 2019
We stated at Podes with a couple of friends last week and had a great time. The cottage is very well equipped with everything we needed. Comfy beds upstairs and a shower room, downstairs the living area is well laid out, comfortable and designed to make the most of the space, and a downstairs bathroom very handy so no queuing! The location of the property is perfect, about 5 minutes walk from the shops, harbour etc (and a lovely little cinema )but in a quiet street with very little passing traffic. We would definitely recommend Podes and hope to visit again.
Mrs Dean Mar 2019
Stayed at Podes with my wife, my 15 year old son and his pal (both 6 foot plus)and our Welsh Terrier. The cottage was very comfortable for all of us and had everything we needed. The location was superb with shops and restaurants within 2 minutes walk, the beach only 5 minutes walk and the Tate is a lovely 15 minute walk away. We parked our car for the week at Park Lane Car Park which again was only a 5 minute walk away. We were all really happy with Podes and would stay there again. St Ives is beautiful and worth the long drive from Cheshire.
