Additional information

due to the apartment being situated within the heart of Fore Street, you may hear the hustle and bustle associated with being in a central location, WiFi, short breaks available.

The apartment was better than we expected high quality decor and an excellent location.
Our friends who stayed elsewhere in st Ives had an apartment with a parking space. after visiting our apartment they said for future visits they would chose our accommodation but only if we aren’t visiting at the same time ??.

September 2024

This is a great apartment with amazing views overlooking the harbour even thou the entrance is on Fore street and don’t let that put u off it, because we didn’t heard any noise from the near by pubs at all. Everything was excellent and will be happy to use it again in the future.

Holidays at The Wharf

Many of our cottages at The Wharf overlook the working harbour of St Ives. Here you'll find fishing boats, a gorgeous sandy beach and in the summer season you can take advantage of the boat trips on offer. Home to The RNLI, The St Ives Lifeboat Station is close by and is a popular attraction with tourists.

The Wharf, otherwise known as St Ives harbour, is a hive of activity throughout the year. With a continual hustle and bustle on the water and along the harbour front, there is always plenty to do and see while self catering at the Wharf, even at the quieter times of the year.  It’s an ever changing scene so perfect for those artists among you. Don’t forget about the very sheltered, sandy Harbour Beach, a perfect sun-trap in the heart of town and a great place to find seaglass and sea pottery! As night falls at the end of another perfect day, St Ives comes alive with a selection of bars, restaurants and cafés to suit every pocket and every taste in a truly cosmopolitan atmosphere.

Top tip

Be careful of the seagulls when eating at The Wharf.

Things to do on The Wharf

Boat Trips

Why not enjoy the scenery by boat and explore the coastline with an excursion with St Ives Boat Trips. Fishing trips are available for those looking for a bit of adventure, or for a more relaxing experience, a visit to seal island lets you see seals basking on the rocks at certain times of year.

Eating and Drinking

The Wharf is home to a wide selection of restaurants and cafes, serving up fresh fish and chips to gourmet burgers, with something to suit everyone. Enjoy an ice cream or Cornish pasty and watch the world go by on the harbour front, but remember to keep your wits about you; seagulls in St Ives are renowned for swooping in and stealing food right from your hands!

Smeaton's Pier

From here you'll get a stunning view of the harbour, and an up close view of the crystal clear waters. At the entrance to the pier you'll find St Leonard's Chapel; originally dedicated for local fisherman, it is now a museum and memorial for the fisherman of St Ives.

Lifeboat station

Home to the new £1.5 million lifeboat, the RNLI lifeboat station is a popular attraction for visitors to St Ives. The gift shop next door sells souvenirs where all profits go towards helping to save lives at sea.

Fabulous apartment, very clean Aspects have thought of everything. Great location for wanting to be in the centre of everything

Great location Fantastic views Very comfortable accommodation Will be back again!

Trethorne has the most spectacular views of the sunrise each morning. It's location is just perfect. Just a two minute walk from the cobbles of Fore Street, and you're in the harbour.
Considering the location, it's surprisingly quiet. The apartment is fresh and airy, and quite spacious too, compared to others we have stayed in locally. We didn't use the kitchen at all so can't comment, but everything looked good. Beds and pillows were comfy and clean. We are returning in the autumn and will definitely consider Trethorne!

Great flat Fantastic views Great location Had a wonderful holiday

Booking: Booked Trethorne very easily, especially as my requirements were Sunday to Sunday instead of Friday to Friday. The person on the phone was very approachable and said she would call me back once she had investigated whether my requirements could be accommodated. The lady did call me back as promised (often people don't) a short time after my enquiry.

Arrival/check-in: Clearly communicated in email and was easy to find key box.

Location: Fantastic location with stunning outlook. Right in the heart of Fore Street, St Ives. Plenty of shops, cafes, restaurants, bars on the doorstep literally.

Accommodation: Very nicely furnished, modern and aesthetically pleasing. Brilliant for a couple or a family of up to 4. Plenty of storage space.

Personal touches: Bottle of Prosecco on arrival. Discount voucher for local shop.

If you are looking for somewhere to stay in the heart of St Ives, with a beautiful view everyday from the lounge or kitchen, good value for money, managed by a local company, then Trethorne is the place for you.

Lovely comfortable apartment, comfortable beds and sofa. Great location.

Had a lovely stay and enjoyed the property which had excellent location and was very comfortable .

The property was exactly what we hoped for. Very well and tastefully furnished and great having a sea view and being located in the main shopping and restaurant/ cafe area with easy access to the beach. Despite being in the heart of things we appreciated that the flat was well sound insulated and provided a quiet retreat. Would definitely stay again.

Fantastic location, very clean, great view to the sea. Enjoyed the holiday and would return again.
