August 2024

We’ve stayed in Carbis Bay a few times and this is the nicest place by far. It was lovely to relax on the veranda and look out at the ocean as the weather was kind to us during our stay. The apartment has everything you need and more and it’s set in a quiet location down a little lane just off the main road. Tesco is a short walk away. The beach is a 5 minute stroll down a path which takes you under the bridge right next to the Carbis Bay Hotel which is practically on the beach. The walk back up is a bit challenging but worth it! We walked into St Ives on the coastal path quite a lot and it’s a lovely walk. Try the Spanish restaurant La Casita on the main road, it never disappoints. We enjoyed Fernhill so much we’ve already booked for summer 2025!

Holiday number two at Fernhill and we’ve already booked number three. If you want a rest and a relax in a stunning setting, then this is the place to go. It has everything and more that you need, quite simply it’s an amazing place.

A lovely little property, well decorated and located about 30 minutes walk into St.Ives although this can be a little hilly in places so would only suit those who are slighter fitter. The nearest beach is a short 10 minute walk down a hill.

We’ve stayed in Carbis Bay a few times and this is the nicest place by far. It was lovely to relax on the veranda and look out at the ocean as the weather was kind to us during our stay. This apartment has everything you could wish and the views are to die for.

Very clean and comfortable property with stunning sea views. Very quiet location but then I think only one other apartment was being used when we were there. Only negative was the parking space which was down a steep slope and therefore tricky to get in and out of without scraping the bottom of the car. This was not mentioned at the time of booking and would probably put us off from booking again. Overall a very good stay.

Thank you for your lovely feedback following your stay at 1 Fernhill Apartment, we are pleased you enjoyed the peace and quiet that Carbis Bay has to offer. It's a shame you found the parking to be difficult, and we can appreciate that some may find the slope difficult to manoeuvre, but we do hope you agree that having an allocated parking space is a bonus to the property! We'll certainly keep an eye on feedback regarding this moving forward and update any instructions if necessary. Katy, Customer Services.

A beautiful apartment with everything you could wish for, And not forgetting the stunning views.

A really lovely apartment with stunning views of Carbis Bay. Well appointed with room sizes suitable for 2 people.

Lovely peaceful apartment with great view across the bay. Good for walking into St Ives along the coastal path, or catch the train back for £1! Carbis Bay beach also beautiful but be aware the walk back up the hill to the apartment is very steep.

We stayed at No 1 Fernhill and absolutely loved it and wished we could have stayed longer, This a little gem in Carbis bay a place we love, Would definitely recommend and will be back

Absolutely love Fernhill, great place great location and have already rebooked for next year.

Lovely apartment. Well appointed and comfortable. Views were beautiful. Brief 10 minute walk to gorgeous Carbis Bay beach, and a delightful 30 min coastal walk to St Ives. Easy access if have a car to Penzance, Lizards Point, Lands End, Kynance Cove. Surfing great fun with plenty of other options eg coasteering (did last time), kayaking. Enjoy!!

Great apartment situated in the Carbis Bay area, lovely views of the bay and coastal train line. Beautifully furnished, spotlessly clean with everything you could need…couldn’t think of anything extra I would add. Lovely costal walk into St Ives with amazing views & nature along the way..we took the train back from St Ives to the Carbis Bay stop at £1 each, another time we caught the bus back..similar cost an saves walking up the hill! Outdoor furnished decking area came in handy as we were blessed with amazing weather. The complimentary bag of local goodies was a lovely touch too! We really enjoyed our week at 1 Fernhill and will definitely be back…Thank you ?? Alison & Nigel Emberson

We love this place, good views , clean comfy, infact there is nothing to be disappointed with

Loved every second

Absolutely beautiful apartment, Our 4th time here and already booked for October. It has everything you could wish for aswell as amazing views.

Wow, what a beautiful place inside & out. Everything I needed was there in a drawer or a cupboard. Very comfortable & beautifully furnished, including outside area. Parking is scary as very steep & had to reverse out but due to location, not sure anything can be done about that. Sea views & coastal/beach walks were amazing. Supermarkets all very close, St Ives within a few minutes drive, the coastal train was so handy. Will definitely return.

Our 2nd stay at Fernhill apartment and also booked for next year, This is a truly lovely apartment with everything you need, clean comfortable and beautiful sea views couldn't ask for anything more.

We had a wonderful fortnight in this Apartment. The apartment is very nice and comfortably furnished with everything you need on vacation. The bed is a good size and very comfortable. The apartment is in a very quiet area with a beautiful driveway and private parking space. The view from the apartment and from the large terrace is simply something special. Even it is close to the Southwest Coastpath, that you absolutely have to walk. We would like to book this Apartment again.

Lovely apartment with amazing views. Clean, cosy and comfortable in a lovely location. The train to St Ives ran every half hour and was a £1, bargain! Our only disappointment was the awful weather but there was loads of dog friendly pubs about which solved the problem. Would highly recommend.

Lovely apartment, nicely furnished with good appliances. Really good decking area with views over the bay. Nice walk down to the beach (although down some steep steps). 20 minutes walk to St. Ives and we'll positioned for visiting other ares.

The location is perfect, just outside St Ives and is very quiet and relaxing. The views over Carbis Bay are spectacular from the apartment, with the added bonus of your own lovely decking area to sit and admire the view. The walk into St Ives is a couple of miles (I think) along a lovely coastal path and the walk down to Carbis Bay beach is easy, not so easy on the way home - very steep hills! We walked into St Ives harbour most days and caught the bus back to the apartment - which has many stops along the Carbis Bay road - useful to know as parking is a nightmare and taxi's can be expensive. You can tell the apartment holds a great deal of pride to its owners and they have gone to great lengths to make it feel welcoming and homely. A great find, that I highly recommend.

The apartment was amazing and so beautifully furnished. Everything you could need was there and beyond, we had a lovely holiday and will certainly be back. Mick & Pat, Worcestershire

We lived this apartment, If you are thinking of booking don't hesitate do it, Also Aspect holidays are are fab.

A lovely few days in Carbis Bay. Sadly the weather was awful but we enjoyed our stay despite the weather.

1 Fernhill Apartments fantastic location , peaceful and overlooking Carbis Bay , Supermarket a short walk away for any essentials required , Greatly received the gifts which were left for us , such a great touch ..
Looking forward to booking our next break , great team at Aspects and would highly recommend , first class

The apartment was superb! Decorated tastefully and to a high standard. Everything was spotlessly clean and looked brand new. Would definitely recommend it.

Fernhill is a wonderful apartment with everything you need. It is in a great location. We cannot wait to stay again. Thankyou Aspects

Amazing apartment, loved it all. Hope to go back again ?? xx

Lovely cosy Property in a beautiful location with fabulous views over the coast. Lovely walks on the door step and a short albeit steep walk to Carbis Bay Beach. Convenient parking space at the property and excellent facilities. Went the extra mile with little extra touches such as a welcome gift upon arrival. Would definitely recommend.

A perfect apartment in a perfect location. We arrived on a sunny evening, and were blown away by the sea view, it was just gorgeous. 1 Fernhill Apartment is spotlessly clean, very modern, extremely comfortable and only a 5 minute walk to the beach. The owners really had thought of everything and this property exceeded our expectations. Having a lovely outside seating area was a bonus, particularly in such lovely weather. There is a regular bus and train service into St Ives, and a large Tesco within Carbis Bay, so the location had everything we needed. We were very sad to leave and will definitely be coming back. Thank you Aspects Holidays.

Overlooking Carbis Bay this wonderful apartment gives you the comfort and relaxation to enjoy. we had a wonderful week enjoying the area whilst traveling around using this as a base, Local Buses easy walks to St Ives and lots of pubs and restaurants to enjoy, a wonderful week enjoyed !! Looking forward to returning.

Beautiful well appointed apartment with lots of designer touches, and very clean and comfortable. The enclosed deck was excellent for allowing our dog a bit of freedom without being out of site. The view was stunning, on-site parking a breeze and the location absolutely perfect, would love to stay here again. Highly recommend both 1 Fernhill Apartments and Aspects Holidays

We had a wonderful stay in this apartment, it couldn’t have been better, the views to look out on were just breathtaking each day, wish we could have stayed 2 weeks.

Very clean and So well equipped and good quality kitchen equipment, beautiful shower each day.

The walk to the beach is steep, but well worth it, we took our beautiful cockerpoo down with us and he loved running and meeting other dogs for a play on the beach each day.

It would be 5 stars if in a hotel.

Great little apartment with everything you need. Very comfortable. Everything was as described. Beautiful view and just a short walk to the beach and St Ives. Wouldn't hesitate to come back.

Lovely apartment, lovely views, great location.

A lovely apartment with stunning views. We did not use the car all week as it was only short walk into St Ives and five minutes walk to Carbis Station. Very comfortable bed and extremely peaceful location.

Ideal for couples, easy access to down to Carbis Bay, just take a torch and flat shoes for walking back.

Excellent accommodation, perfect location for beach, walks and public transport. Will be sure to return.

Wonderful property excellent location easy walk into St ives or hop on the train 5 min walk downhill path from fern hill. Lovely sunny patio to sit in and relax with fab views & large shared garden . Apartment had everything needed for our stay, a lovely comfortable bed ,we loved our stay and will return to Carbi bay

This apartment is beautifully furnished with everything in it that you could possibly need. Everything is of good quality. Parking space. Outside decking area with furniture and secure gate. We brought our little dog and this was perfect place for her. There is also a communal garden with table and chairs. Stunning view, would recommend and book again. Our only negative was that there are patio doors in the bedroom and no other windows to open so we found it rather stuffy and there is no fan. Luckily we didn’t have hot weather so we managed. The train station is a short walk and the service into St Ives is brilliant. Also bus stop nearby. We love staying in Carbis Bay as there are so many lovely places to visit not far away. Some nice dog friendly beeches.

Reply from Aspects Holidays

It really is a lovely peaceful spot there with gorgeous views, so we are glad that you liked it too! Whilst we have never received feedback to suggest that it is too warm in there during periods of hot weather, if you like to have a window open in your bedroom overnight, this is certainly something that you may want to consider. There is a window (as well as the patio doors) in the living room, which is adjacent to the bedroom that could potentially be left partially opened to allow a bit of airflow at night. We will keep an eye on further feedback, and if guests are finding it too hot, we can always speak to the property owners and suggest a fan in there. Thanks for your helpful comments and we hope to see you back again soon. Tanya, Customer Services

Lovely space for two, comfortable bed and beautiful view, and for the most part of the week, 5 minute walk (very steep on the way back) to the beach.

A wonderful stay in a super location. Well equipped and comfortable.

What a fantastic apartment to call home for a couple of weeks. Furnished to a high standard & very comfortable, the heated floor was a winner for our dog. The apartment was immaculately clean and very well equipped. Close to the coastal path, easy parking with designated parking space and awesome views. We loved our stay and hope to return. Thank you

Apartment lovely with wonderful views despite our poor weather.

Shopping easy as local Tesco only a short walk away.

Bus services good. St Ives, as always lovely and not too crowded as it was November.

As we travelled by train directions from Carbis Bay railway station would have been helpful. Google maps took us on a difficult path. Found different route which proved much easier

It's great to hear that you enjoyed 1 Fernhill Apartment; the views and location of this property are great aren't they? We're sorry that we hadn't known that you were arriving by train; I can see that you had all of your arrival details sent out a couple of weeks before your arrival, but unfortunately, as standard, these are sent out with the route described as if you are arriving by car. For anyone arriving by train, plane or bus, we are always happy to help provide alternative directions and any information that you may need ready for your arrival. We also highly recommend following described routes rather than using postcodes in google maps or Satnavs which unfortunately in several areas around here, can often take routes that may not be suitable or direct you to a nearby but incorrect road. We're glad that you managed to find it in the end, albeit by a slightly scenic route :-) Tanya, Customer Services

It was a nice well turned out apartment. Close to all shops and main roads to explore the area with ease. There are some nice places to eat near by

1 Fernhill is the most prettiest apartment with stunning views. The decor Is fab, with much attention to detail. The location for the beach, shops, coastal path is also great! Will definitely be coming back next year! Thank you for a wonderful holiday!

Had a lovely week at 1fernhill apartment with breathtaking views across Carbis bay in such a lovely part of Cornwall will be back next year.

We loved No 1 Fernhill Apartments! We spent a week here in May 2019 with our dog (a westie). The location is great & the view from the apartment is fabulous. Would highly recommend.

Excellent accomodation in a beautiful location. Going to book it again for next year!

This Apartment was located in between a Carbis Bay and St Ives and had great views from the lounge and bedroom. Would definitely recommend staying here!

I loved staying at Fernhill for my first solo trip to Cornwall with my Cockapoo. We both felt very at home straight away with a lovely welcome tray and stunning views seen from every room. All the furniture and fixtures are very high quality. It was very peaceful and quiet yet close to bustling St Ives and many other beautiful places. Excellent and easily accessible parking even for a 4x4. I would not hesitate to stay here again. Thank you again Aspects for an amazing stay!

Just wanted to say we had an amazing time at 1 Fernhill Carbis Bay. The apartment was superb in every way.

Thanks to the owners and aspect holidays

Sharon Tilley

The property was lovely and in a fantastic position. Beautiful to watch the sea every day. The area is lovely and quiet but has easy access into St Ives by bus, train or a lovely walk. We had a good time and wouldn't hesitate to book again.

The cottage is in a beautiful location with stunning views and I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending the property to family and friends. It had everything you needed for a relaxing home from home holiday.
