Clearwater was a fantastic place to visit, excellent location and the view is stunning, so much so we have re-booked for 2024 . Thanks again

A lovely apartment with a fantastic view of Carbis Bay. It was very clean and comfortable with nice modern decor. Undercover parking and a good internet connection was a bonus. Overall a lovely place to stay.

A beautifully appointed apartment with a breath taking view. No hesitation recommending this apartment, spotlessly clean, comfortable beds, superbly located to tour Cornwall. There was a lovely welcoming pack which included Scones and Prosecco! A two minute walk to the train station. A return ticket to St Ives for 4 adults was £4. Our grandson loved his first holiday and we’ll definitely be back!

Clearwater is in the most exceptional location with views that keep you transfixed in all weathers. It is hard to drag yourself away from the view. But when you do, you have the coast path on your doorstep, the train into St Ives (or further affield) a stones throw away and the whole of South West Cornwall within easy driving distance. It is a beautifully presented apartment with quality furnishings and a well equipped kitchen. However, there is a pervasive musty smell in the apartment which got into all the clothes we took. The shower is barely more than a dribble and because of this, was not the enjoyable holiday experience we would have liked. The bathroom extractor fan can not be turned off, so hums through the bedroom wall all night. We shall never forget that fantastic view and having our breakfast watching the seals in the bay but probably wouldn't return.

Reply from Aspects Holidays

We are so pleased to hear you enjoyed those amazing views from Clearwater! As you said, no matter the weather, it's easy to spend the whole day just gazing out to sea. However, it is a shame to hear that you thought the apartment had a musty smell to it. This is something that can occur in Cornish buildings, due to the humid climate and older building style, but we find that this often lessens after ventilating the property for a few days. This has been reported very occasionally over the years in Clearwater, but we are pleased to report that during the property's annual inspection (that has taken place since your stay) there was no evidence of this at all. We will certainly keep an eye on feedback regarding the shower and bathroom extractor fan, so thank you for letting us know, and we'll monitor this moving forward. Once again we appreciate all your feedback following your stay, and we hope we can welcome you back to Cornwall again soon. Katy, Customer Services.

Deco was bit gloomy making the atmosphere in the apartment a bit dull.

Reply from Aspects Holidays

We are sorry to hear that you felt it a bit gloomy. The owners have tried to keep the décor very light and neutral, which should cater to the majority, but with everyone's preferences being different, no single property will suit everyone. We try to make sure that the photos are always give an accurate idea of each property, so we do hope that this was what you had expected when booking. We hope you still had a great time. Had the most amazing stay at Clearwater. Very clean, comfortable apartment with a view we will never forget. Loved watching the sunrise and sunsets over Carbis Bay, could easily sit and watch the view all day! Great location, 5 minute walk down to the beach and directly opposite the train station. Would highly recommend and hope to stay again.

Excellent apartment and faclities. Great location near beach and rail station. Everything you would need is in the apartment and spent hours just taking in that view from living room. However, the walk to the beach is on a very steep incline which some people may struggle with. Overall, had a wonderful holiday and would return ??

First time staying in Carbis Bay after many bookings in St Ives, figured being so close to train station would be fine, and it was (besides the rail strike on 2 days we were there!), under £4 return for a family of 4 into St Ives.

The apartment is fantastic, very well furnished to high standard with all amenities you would expect (and some you wouldn't from listing - it has a washing machine)

The view over Carbis Bay beach and beyond to St Ives and Godrevy is stunning, particularly as the sun sets in the evening.

Very comfortable beds - the kids approved by way of conking out straight away each night.

Highly recommended, would definitely come again

An amazing holiday from start to finish. Clearwater is in a stunning location with unbeatable views. Everything which we could have possibly needed had been thought of. Would highly recommend

We had a fantastic stay at Clearwater, it is a very spacious and comfortable flat. The beds were very comfortable, and the flat was very clean on arrival. The dinning room area is spacious and comfortable, as is the lounge area. We sat and looked out the window a lot during our stay, watching the goings on at the beach below, and the bay! What exceeded expectations was the amazing view, the quality of the furnishings and the space! Aspects was excellent in their communications, and we felt valued customers. A lovely stay which we will definitely book again.

We throughly enjoyed our stay at Clearwater. We have stayed in Carbis bay in various properties for many years and Clearwater did not disappoint. We had relatives that stayed further down Headland Road in a more modern apartment block but the apartment itself was no nicer than Clearwater and our views of the bay were better. We will be staying again!

A beautiful, modern property in a great location with a stunning view. Had everything you would need from buckets and spades for the kids and even a wind breaker, saved us bringing all this along from home. Kitchen well equipped. Lovely welcome gift.

Very well appointed property with a spectacular outlook

A lovely place to relax and watch the ocean.

Had a wonderful stay at Clearwater, Carbis Bay. The view of the bay from the apartment is sensational, and one we never tired of ! The apartment is very spacious and really comfortable. It is ideally located being a short stroll down to the beach, or a few minutes walk to the train station for the 4 minute journey (£1) into St Ives …… a perfect weekend break !

Gorgeous, beautifully furnished, comfortable apartment in ideal quiet position but with easy access into St Ives via the train with the added bonus of a parking space as well. Amazing views of Carbis Bay and beyond and just a short walk down the hill to the beach but a killer to get back!!! Well stocked apartment with all comforts including beach stuff.

There’s only positive things to say about this holiday home. Nothing can prepare you for the view as you first walk into the room. On sunny days and on drizzly, misty days it is equally beautiful. There’s something really quirky about being able to look across the sea from the window (with binoculars) to St Ives harbour and see where you were earlier that day. The apartment is clean, spacious, comfortable and contemporary. It is beautifully appointed and the welcome gifts really do make you feel welcome. The location is superb. We were able to park our car up and leave it there. The train station is a few minutes walk from the apartment and the trains are every 30 mins into St Ives where there is an abundance of restaurants, bars, shops and of course wonderful views of the harbour. Carbis beach is a downhill walk either by road or winding cliff steps. In our opinion, there is nothing negative to report about this beautiful apartment.

It was our third stay at Clearwater and we honestly feel so at home when we’re there. I can’t recommend the apartment highly enough. It was immaculate on arrival which means we were able to relax immediately. We are already missing the views so much. The beach at Carbis Bay, although much busier this year, was as beautiful as ever, the water was crystal clear and the sand so wonderfully soft. We can’t wait for visit number 4!

The pictures do not do justice for this little gem!!! I would rate 100 stars if I could. Me and my family had the most amazing holiday and would come back again now if we could.

Stunning views over Carbis Bay. This apartment was a home from home. Everything you need in the kitchen. Comfortable beds and plenty of bedroom storage. Hairdryer. TV in every room. Although we couldn’t get the first bedroom TV to show anything. Great WiFi. Our toddler loved seeing the train pass by (every half hour ish during the day). A short walk down hill to the beach and a hike back up. We didn’t mind the hike as a little extra exercise, especially for me carrying our toddler in the sling. The beach was excellent for children, a stream coming down the beach to the sea, made a fun area for kids to play, making damns and puddles. The sea was so calm and great for paddle boarding. Train station a couple mins away. We took the train one stop to St Ives. Kids loved this. One thing we did mention to Aspects was a very overwhelming damp smell in that first bedroom. This is seem to get less prominent as the week went on. Probably due to the very hot weather? There was a flat roof above this bedroom? Maybe something to do with that? We couldn’t see any damp. But we know the smell from previous experience. Thankfully this didn’t ‘dampen’ the excellent stay we had! Can’t wait to come back to Carbis Bay.

Thank you for your helpful review. We were delighted to read how much you liked this property; it sounds like you had a fantastic time! We have fully investigated your comment on the damp smell and firstly, we would like to reassure you that this is not something that is a regular occurrence. A guest back in 2017 had mentioned a bit of a musty smell in 1 of the wardrobes, but in all the feedback over the years, that is the only thing mentioned about any kind of smell. Here in Cornwall, many of the materials used in the older buildings, along with the more humid climate here and being so close to the sea, can occasionally lead to a damp smell that may be noticeable for a few days if the property has not been property ventilated, or if properties have not been used by guests for a couple of weeks. This smell will usually go after a few days of being aired. We will continue to monitor feedback on this in case it becomes a regular occurrence and if that is the case, we will ensure that it is discussed with the property owner so that it can be fully investigated. Thank you for bringing it to our attention and we are sorry for the delay in getting back to you about this. Tanya, Customer Services

Lovely property! Immaculate condition and amazing views. Location was perfect, will definitely be returning.

We stayed at Clearwater back in 2016 and couldn't wait to return. It is exactly as we remembered, and it holds very special memories for us. The view is just beautiful, and the property itself is beautiful also. Its situated in a perfect location and we couldn't have wished for a better week. We would 100% recommend staying here.

Highly recommend this property, the location is first class, the views from the sitting room are breathtaking. The apartment is spacious, stylish, very comfortable, easy to access and came with plenty of equipment (the toys for children were a great hit). We cannot wait to return to this property.

This was our second visit to Clearwater. We don’t usually visit the same place twice but felt drawn back there by the comfort of the apartment and simply stunning views. Carbis Bay is an excellent location, St Ives is minutes away by train or via a lovely coastal walk. The beach is incredible. What more could you want?!

The view from the property is breathtaking. The property is comfortable and spacious and has everything you could need.

The location is great. It is easy to walk to Carbis Bay Beach which has lovely shallow, sandy waters for paddling, body boarding. Great for kids. We spotted a seal when kayaking and doing stand up paddle boarding - good value to hire the equipment on the beach. And so simple to walk to St Ives or catch the train.

We would love to stay here again.

Clearwater is an excellent property with what has to be one of the best coastal views in Britain. It has great access to the little railway line into St Ives (three minutes walk) and right next to the path for coastal walking and it takes just a few minutes to walk to the stunning beach. The apartment is in excellent condition having everything you could wish for. Perfect!

Perfact view perfact property cant get any better

Comfortable, warm, quiet and with the most perfect view of Carbis Bay and St Ives harbour - not forgetting our perfect view, in comfort, of the St Ives New Year's Day fireworks! We liked the way the seating area, hallway and bedrooms had matching carpets, with the kitchen and dining room having quality bright wood-block flooring. This we feel added to the relaxed atmosphere and comfort of the apartment. We also appreciated the superb flat screen televisions in both bedrooms and lounge area having hd tv and Netflix. Thank you also for the welcome pack - it was much appreciated after a long journey.

Clearwater was perfect for our first holiday with our 16month old. She loved watching the train and beach from the amazing view. Very comfortable and clean and everything we needed. Fab location with the 4min train ride into St Ives x

The view from the property was absolutely superb and added that extra touch to the holiday. The apartment was well kept and had everything we needed

Brilliant holiday. Loved Carbis Bay. Clearwater made it extra special for us as really comfy and nicely furnished. We all sounded oooooooooo as we walked through the door. Accomadation doesn't always look like it does on websites etc and disappoints. Clearwater was better than the pictures!

Fabulous place with stunning views. Will definitely try and book again.

Fabulous holiday destination...I will definitely return

I've been holidaying around cornwall for the last 10 years in some nice places but this has by far topped all of those. Beautifully designed, amazing seaviews and you get to see some fantastic sunsets

Breathtaking views and luxurious accommodation. Our first but definately not last visit to Carbis Bay.
