September 2024

We have stayed in a few studio apartments in Cornwall but this one has been the best so far. The property has recently been updated and exceeds the description given on the aspects web site. The owners have decorated to a high standard and the property was very comfortable. The bed was very comfortable which is often not the case in such properties. The location is extremely quiet and peaceful and the view is lovely. It is quite close to many local attractions and there is a pub about a 20 minute walk away. The hot tub is a great feature and very welcome for evening relaxation. We would definitely consider coming back to Sea view studio in the future.

Holidays in West Cornwall

There is almost an embarrassment of riches for the visitor to choose from when looking at holiday cottages in West Cornwall. With its extraordinary variety of landscapes and coastline, as well as its proud history and cultural heritage, you won't be disappointed.

With many superb beaches to enjoy, including five with the coveted Blue Flag status, it is easy to see why so many people associate this part of the world with sun, sea, sand and, of course, surf. There is, however, so much more on offer when contemplating self catering holidays in West Cornwall.

West Cornwall is home to popular destinations such as MarazionPenzanceCarbis Bay and St Ives, which are all worth a visit. From the iconic St Michael's Mount to the breath taking Minack Theatre as featured in our blog, you wont be short of things to do while self catering in West Cornwall.

Things to do in West Cornwall

Days out

With such an abundance of stunning sights in West Cornwall, you'll be spoilt for choice when choosing where to visit while holidaying here. St Michael's Mount, The Minack Theatre, and St Ives harbour are just a few of the enthralling places on offer. The many golden sandy beaches that West Cornwall boasts are perfect for topping up the tan. For something a little more energetic, boat trips, fishing excursions and water sports are available. Museums and art galleries provide an equally enjoyable day out, with world famous exhibitions at the Tate St Ives and the Barbara Hepworth museum within easy reach.

With the bustling coastal towns of St Ives, Mousehole and Marazion within close proximity of one another, you can be sure to find somewhere to provide everything you need to the perfect family day out.

Walking

Cornwall's spectacular scenery provides the perfect backdrop for exploring. The coastal paths which hug the rugged cliffs offer breath taking sea views, while walking inland you can enjoy the many nature reserves, ancient stone circles and woodland, for which Cornwall is renowned.

Art & heritage

Famous for its quality of light, the area has long been a haven for artists and there are many galleries to be found wherever you go. There are also many gardens to enjoy; the mild climate will often let plants flourish here which you won’t find anywhere else in the country. For those wanting to dig a little deeper, there is also an amazing mining and maritime heritage which has done much to shape the county and its people as well as, it could be argued, the rest of the world.

We spent a lovely week at Sea View studio. Our hosts were next door and welcomed us on arrival to show us around then left us with lots of privacy with the assurance they were there if we had any issues. There was a lovely welcome pack awaiting us with essentials plus wine and chocolate etc which is a nice touch. The studio was modern and extremely clean, it had everything we needed, The kitchen had everything we needed to cook comfortably and there’s a charcoal bbq in the garden if the weather plays ball!! The hot tub is a lovely addition, with views out to St Michaels Mount (gorgeous to watch the sun set over the sea) and the twinkly solar lights finish it off as it gets dark! There’s a local pub nearby (The White Hart) fabulous Sunday Lunch and a great Seafood Chowder, definitely worth a visit! All in all Sea View studio was a great bolt hole for us to return to after our days exploring this part of Cornwall

Absolutely loved our stay at Sea view studio. The place was spotlessly clean and everything you need for a relaxing home from home feel. Lovely extra touches such as wine and chocolate and essentials like milk, tea, coffee and sugar were provided. The hosts Paul and Gill were very welcoming and gave us some great ideas of places to visit. The hot tub was such a lovely treat in the evenings and our dog Bertie adored the garden with its extra bit of greenery. The views from the garden were amazing and the location was ideal-quiet and out of the way but only a short drive to lovely beaches and shops and amenities. I would definitely recommend sea view studio and we are already looking forward at dates for next year’s return.

I was honestly blown away when I arrived at the sea view studio! Everything was spotlessly clean, the added extras that were supplied really gave it that personal, special touch! That view! Took my breath away! The owners were very polite and popped around to welcome me and suggest some local spots to visit! I’m already looking forward to the chance I get to come back again!

Lovely place, Lovely location and super hospitable hosts. The Aspects team also phoned to check everything was ok and to give additional arrival information. Very helpful. 10/10.

We had a fabulous stay at Sea View! Location was great for exploring and is only a 10 minute drive to St Ives. The views at Sea View are amazing and the hot tub an extra bonus after a day of long walks! The property had everything you could need!

The welcome pack was a lovely touch and there were other little things that had been thought of like the bath robes, the extra blankets and the toiletries which made it extra special!

We loved staying at sea view studio! The location is great! There is a lovely local pub serving good food. The studio had everything we needed and more! The chocolate brownies were delicious and there was even tea, coffee, milk and sugar. It was lovely and clean and very cosy!

We had the most amazing stay at Sea View, the owners are friendly and very welcoming and met us as we arrived and gave lots of useful information for our stay. The cottage is spotless and beautifully decorated and the views over the fields onto the sea and St.Michael’s mount are simply breath taking. The Hot Tub is the icing on the cake to simply sit back and relax after a busy day. Also in a beautiful peaxful location, a mile walk to the local pub and so many beautiful beaches not too far away. Will definitely return.

Excellent location. Excellent hosts, there on hand but not intrusive. The studio was very airy and well decorated. Absolutely loved it.

This was an exceptional holiday let. With friendly owners that went the extra mile to make our stay perfect. We were greeted by home made brownies, fresh bread, eggs, milk, butter, biscuits and filter coffee. Anything we needed, they were there and also gave us some great locations to visit nearby. Warming, friendly and professional. The accommodation itself was clean, well presented and the location was simply idyllic! The hot tub and garden were to die for with stunning views and garden lit up at night with fairy lights. It was so relaxing. We have spoken to all of our friends and family and quite a few people have taken the link off of us and are looking to book. It was fantastic and I would recommend this property to anyone looking for a reasonable priced holiday.

The property was exactly what we wanted, the hot tub and view were excellent and the homemade brownies on arrival were a lovely touch.

Location is ideal as all beaches/walks are within a short driving or walking distance which was perfect the dog.

Would happily recommend staying here!
