Shopping in St Ives
From books to jewellery to freshly made food, shopping in St Ives is a Cornish tradition thanks to the cobbled streets and independent shops that line them.
Centrally located, with stunning harbour and coastline views, this spacious and comfortable loft apartment is just a minutes walk from the turquoise sea. You really can’t get much closer to the restaurants, deli and independent shops of cobbled Fore Street not to mention being within an enviable five minute walk to Tate St Ives and the Barbara Hepworth Sculpture Museum, all without a single hill to navigate. The position of this accommodation was awesome! Right in the middle of town, yet with breathtaking views of the harbour. The shared open plan space, was probably the best of your properties that we have ever stayed in, and we would stay there again in a heartbeat. Obviously, staying right in the middle of everything, there is bound to be noise, and with the cobbled narrow streets, you do hear the deliveries etc quite early in the mornings, but this was clearly mentioned in the detail, so was expected. For me, a small price to pay to be in the hubub of it all

Fantastic property the photos do not do the apartment justice, the rooms are all large and airy, plenty of room for a family with teenagers or an extended family also.
The large open plan living upstairs is beautifully decorated and works very well, the window seats are so lovely to see the views. The sunrise from the windows were amazing!
The location for us is perfect you could walk to Porthmeor beach in 4 minutes or be at the harbour within 1 minute! There was a little noise in the early mornings with bin lorry’s and deliveries but it really didn’t bother us, we didn’t hear any late night noise.
We had a slight issue when we checked in but this was swiftly sorted out. We would definitely stay again we all loved it!

Narrow lanes are dotted with boutique shops, artisan bakeries, cafes, bars, and restaurants. Discover picturesque gardens, stunning coastal paths, and art galleries galore, all on your doorstep.
St Ives Town is home to Trewyn Subtropical Gardens, tucked away behind Fore Street?

Thank you Aspects for your excellent service, we had such an amazing holiday, Harbour View 1 Academy place was a gorgeous place to stay, this is our second stay at Academy place as we find this apartment close to everything, a step away to the shops and just minutes away from all beaches, the bonus for us is that it allows dogs and also has its own parking space at the rugby club. The apartment is well equipped and lovely furnished we love it here and sitting in the window seats you have great views of the harbour, such a beautiful and relaxing place to stay .
Miss Dale Jun 2024
Our second stay in Harbour View, the accommodation is beautiful, very comfortable and well equipped. It is an excellent base to explore St. Ives. It has wonderful seaviews and a great place to watch stunning sunrises!

Good location, right on one of the main streets. Not good for anyone with mobility issues. Lovely bedrooms and living space with everything required. I would take earplugs if you're a light sleeper as it is situated near the bars and restaurants so can be loud late at night.

With an external flight of stairs, an internal flight of stairs to the hallway and another flight of stairs inside, this is certainly something to bear in mind, as it wouldn't suit all. For those who can manage the stairs, we hope that you agree that this property offers a great space to be able to enjoy all that the town has to offer. Literally steps from all the shops, restaurants, galleries, and the harbour; you won't need to drive anywhere all week! We are glad you enjoyed it and thank you for the review. Lovely location could be noisy in high season good sized bedrooms
Mr Gaunt Jun 2023
We had a perfect weeks stay here at Harbour View - and the name really captures the stunning view you get of the harbour. There was more than enough room for the 4 of us and our pooch. The living area is beautiful - a light open space with comfy sofas and a big dining room table. We were provided with more than enough kitchen equipment for our stay. You are a few steps away from the high street which is ideal and not much noise heard except for some on a Friday night but this did not bother us. We would definitely come back to Harbour View - thank you for a brilliant stay.

We have spent many holidays in St Ives, always on The Island. This time we went for a view. Harbour View lives up to its title as the view from the top floor living area is breathtaking. It was lovely to be able to check out the beach before taking the dogs.It was also great to be within seconds or a couple of minutes of all the town has to offer. The apartment is really splendid; modern and well equipped with everything you could want and more. It is very spacious with three capacious bedrooms, one of which I only discovered when we were checking that we hadn’t left anything behind. We have no complaints although there were two very minor issues.I wouldn’t have bothered with them but Georgia sent an email asking if everything was OK. The two minor issues were sorted by the end of the day. Arrival was fairly easy although, if you know St Ives, you will also spot potential difficulties in loading and unloading. We got round this by dropping everything off quickly, parking the car in the rugby club car park and forgetting about it for the week. At the end we booked a taxi which took me and most of our stuff back to the car. We then just had a few items to grab and have a quick check around the apartment, during which time I discovered the aforementioned third bedroom. Booking was really easy and communication from Aspects was excellent, especially the arrival instructions. I don’t know if we’ll return to St Ives but, if we do want to book again, the Aspects website will be my first port of call.

Aspects booking system is excellent. This is a really lovely, well equipped and comfortable apartment. Light, tastefully decorated and very well lit. Comfy beds and beautiful towels. The furnishings have been updated and are much nicer than the photos on website. The access could be a little challenging for anyone with mobility issues. It’s a pity that there is often noise from the street late at night.

With a flight of external stone steps and a further internal flight of stairs to access the property and another flight of stairs inside the property, this is definitely something that should be considered when booking, if any of the party have any mobility issues. The amazing location of this property, right in the heart of everything, will mean that some associated noise can be heard at time, but we hope that you agree that this and the stairs are well worth it for those lovely views and being able to step out the door and get to any of the beaches, shops, restaurants, and galleries within minutes. We are glad that it sounds like you enjoyed it and hopefully we may see you back here someday soon. Tanya, Customer Services
We had another lovely week in gorgeous St Ives. The weather was kind to us although, the apartment would have been a lovely relaxing home from home even if it had rained all week. Close to all the beaches and in the thick of the St. Ives hustle and bustle. Wonderful to get up early and have it all to our selves. Have booked Harbour View again for next year.
Miss Lyons Jul 2022
1 Academy Place is in a perfect position in the heart of all the shops, restaurants and beaches, literally no where is more than a few minutes away. The views from the huge top floor lounge / kitchen / diner are great and this was a perfect family space for six adults and a dog. Three good sized bedrooms, two lovely bathrooms and well equipped throughout, couldn’t have been a better base for our son’s blessing / wedding in the island chapel.
Mr Willson Jun 2022
Glorious week in St Ives 1 Academy Place was beautiful stunning views tasteful decor & well equipped couldn’t ask for more
Mrs Wilkes Jun 2022
We’ve stayed in St Ives a number of times and this is one of the best places we’ve stayed in.
This was a lovely place, decor nice, good quality fixtures and fittings yet comfy and homely. Very well equipped with games and soft furnishings.
The location is great and whilst there was a bit of noise from late night revellers at times, it was worth it to be so close to everything.
The views from the window seats were a really nice way to spend time and we even saw a rainbow!
Mr Sylvester May 2022
A perfect, comfortable apartment in beautiful St Ives. Memories made. We will definitely book again.
Mrs Mroczko Apr 2022
Great spot right on Fore Street so can be a bit noisy in the night but worth it for views and location.
Our second stay here and would do so again.

We are glad that you enjoyed this lovely property. Properties in such central locations always come with the risk of being able to hear a bit of the hustle and bustle of such a location. However, 1 Academy Place has never had any feedback previously about anything excessive (or any mention of ANY noise for that matter). However, it is something that may be worth bearing in mind, particularly if you are a light sleeper, not just for this property, but for any that are in the heart of the town; there may be some noise associated with that. For some, it may not be what they would want, but for many, it adds to the experience, or is a minor compromise for being so close to all the amazing things on offer here, literally steps from the shops, cafes, restaurants and of course the beaches! We are glad that you like it and hopefully we will see you back again soon. Tanya, Customer Services
Aspects always helpful and deal with bookings quickly. Property we stayed in this year was amazing, we loved it but prefer to stay closer to the Downalong area. Property was beautiful and so spacious and had see views which was lovely while eating breakfast. Would definitely recommend staying here.
Ms Blay Sep 2021
An enjoyable stay in a very central location, although noise could be heard particularly in the early morning from bin men, street cleaners and deliveries to the shops below. The apartment was large and airy with plenty of space for us all. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything you could possible need and more besides. The views from the upstairs windows were amazing (the window seats were my favourite place to sit).
Mrs Mitchell Aug 2019
Excellent properly with a great location and plenty of space right in the middle of St Ives. Good views of the harbour. Would certainly stay there again

Ideal for a family, dog friendly and overall location and comforts are excellent. If you have restricted mobility there might be too many stairs to climb. It did not bother us. We will be back.
