Chypraze
St Just

£640 - £1561 per week
Book

With horses peacefully grazing in the neighbouring pasture, a sense of harmonious calm strikes when you first arrive at Chypraze, coupled with an overwhelming feeling of "coming home." Sleeping five, Chypraze is an exquisite, thoughtfully furnished home, with absolute comfort in mind. Nestled away in the hamlet of Truthwall, a couple of minutes drive from the most westerly town of St Just, Chypraze has ample parking for two cars in the drive. Gather together to plan the day ahead at the bespoke dining table, before tucking into a hearty breakfast and crumpets melting with butter. If you can tear yourselves away from the sea views across the fields, pack up a picnic of finger sandwiches and a medley of fresh fruits and head for the South West Coast Path.

Leave the car behind and hop on the bus to St Ives, enjoying the breathtaking scenery along the way. With several close by golden sand beaches, spend long, hot summer days, sunbathing or surfing. After a busy day exploring, a freshen up in the two rainfall showers, or a soak in the bath will prepare yourselves for the evening ahead. The nearby pub offers a season changing menu using local produce and is just a few minutes walk away. When dining at home, Chypraze's elegant kitchen has a breakfast bar too, making this such a sociable space when preparing supper. Probably the best evenings will be spent together, on the front terrace, dining al fresco with a bottle of wine or two, with an amber sunset as a backdrop over the ocean in the distance. On the cooler evenings, there's no better way to spend nights playing board games in front of the woodburner and sharing memories. When it's nearly time for bed, spending precious stolen moments on the balcony, with a glass of wine in hand as the blanket of stars twinkle like diamonds above, is something you will never forget.

Chypraze is a beautiful modern well equipped home, which has been built to a very high standard. The views and walks from the house are stunning. Chypraze is also the perfect spot for stargazing. St Just is close by and has everything you need, however the Queens Arms is just round the corner from the house and serves good food and drinks. We had a fantastic week and will definitely return. Thanks to Megan for renting her beautiful home and Pip for keeping the house clean. We loved all the extra little touches like plentiful hand soap, dishwasher tablets, the cream tea, and toilet roll!

February 2025

Chypraze is a wonderful very modern built property in a stunning area of Cornwall. We have already booked another two holidays in the property as it is in a perfect location for what we want. The house is spacious and has fantastic furnishings and fittings. The kitchen is well equipped and all brand new. The beds are very comfortable. The whole property is beautifully finished. The outside areas are also really lovely. We could have sat outside even though it was October as the views are unbelievable. We would definitely recommend this property. The price point is comparative to the area.

The host Pip is amazing and cannot do enough for you. She brought us wine and wood as we were returning customers.

Holidays in St Just

Situated in a National Landscape (formerly Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty), St Just sits just one mile from the Atlantic coastline and the stunning scenery of Cape Cornwall. For anyone looking to relax at a slower place, St Just is the ideal place to recharge your batteries.

Experience village life in this traditional Cornish village, with a strong history of mining, farming and fishing. From its 15th Century Church, to the ‘Plen-An-Gwary’, one of Britain’s oldest working ampitheatres, and the evidence of mining throughout, the village has a clear sense of culture and identity, shaped by its past. You can’t get much more Cornish than St Just!

With so much to see and do in the area, you’ll easily fill your days, from walking the South West Coast Path, to visiting the iconic Land’s End, and exploring the many nearby coves and beaches.

Did you know...

St Just is the most westerly town in mainland Britain?

Things to do

Located in the far west of Cornwall, you’ll have so much to explore, with places to visit and walks aplenty!

Land’s End

As the most westerly town in mainland Britain, St Just is close to the popular attraction of Land's End. Have your photo taken at the famous Land's End signpost, experience one of the family attractions, or simply enjoy the breathtaking views and the rugged landscape.

Tanglewood Wild Gardens

Located just a few miles down the road from St Just, you’ll discover the magical world of Tanglewood Wild Gardens. Explore nine acres of wild gardens and woodland, home to an abundance of wildlife, quirky sculptures and interactive games. Pack a picnic and enjoy it with the family, amidst the sounds and sights of nature.

Cape Cornwall Golf Club

For keen golfers, or those who’d like to give it a go, Cape Cornwall Golf Club offers one of the most beautiful places to play golf, with spectacular views overlooking the Atlantic Ocean.

Geevor Tin Mine

Not far from St Just, you’ll find Geevor Tin Mine, the largest preserved mining site in the country, and the last example of a complete 20th century tin mine. Here you can learn all about the history of mining in Cornwall and even take a tour underground!

St Michael's Mount

When visiting west Cornwall, a trip to the iconic St Michael’s Mount is a must. Steeped in history, and with nowhere else quite like it, this tidal island with its fairy-tale castle is truly the jewel in Cornwall's crown. Be sure to plan ahead and check the tide times, if the tide is in you’ll have to hop on one of the regular ferry boats, otherwise you’ll be wading back!

Walks in and around St Just

With such spectacular scenery on your doorstop, St Just is perfect for experiencing the great outdoors. Be sure to bring your walking boots so you can explore some of the many walks in the area…

The South West Coast Path

One of the best things about west Cornwall has to be its wild and rugged coastline, and walking the South West Coast Path is one of the best ways to explore it. Join the coast path at Cape Cornwall and you can walk to Sennen, Land’s End, Porthcurno or even onto Lamorna or Mousehole. Alternatively, head in the other direction towards Pendeen Lighthouse and towards Zennor.

St Just to Cape Cornwall

This walk takes you across fields, past prehistoric sites and into the Cot Valley where you can extend the walk down to Port Navern, a keen spot for bird-watchers, before returning to the village of St Just.

Carn Galver to Men-An-Tol

If you’re interested in seeing some of Cornwall’s legendary prehistoric sites, then this walk begins in a location just a short drive from St Just. Beginning at Carn Galver, the route follows moorland paths leading to the Four Parish Stone, the Merry Maidens stone circle, Ding Dong, and onto Men-An-Tol. As well as the multiple stone sites, you’ll enjoy stunning panoramic views.

Beaches

If you walk along the coast path in west Cornwall, you’ll discover a plethora of hidden coves, however, there are a few bigger, more practical beaches to visit for a day on the sand.

Sennen Cove Beach

This large expanse of golden sand is the perfect place to visit for a day at the beach. Whether you plan to spend your time surfing, swimming, rock-pooling or simply relaxing on the sand, there’s plenty of space for everyone.

Porthcurno Beach

This stunning beach boasts soft golden sand and turquoise waters, and with lifeguard cover from mid-May through to the end of September, it’s a popular choice for families. Sheltered by cliffs on either side, and with stunning views, it’s truly a little piece of paradise.

Events

Visit St Just in July and you'll be able to take in the atmosphere at the popular Lafrowda festival; a fortnight of family friendly activities including dance workshops and colourful processions which make their way through the crowds.

For a more ancient celebration, Feast Day is a two-day event in November, which celebrates the dedication of the parish church.

Chypraze is a wonderful very modern built property in a stunning area of Cornwall. We have already booked another two holidays in the property as it is in a perfect location for what we want. The host Pip is amazing and cannot do enough for you. She brought us wine and wood as we were returning customers.

Chyprase is a modern very well equipped property which exceeded expectations. Shops and pubs/ eateries are plentiful within a short walk or drive. Cape Corwall is a short drive and other walks accessible from the property. The area has a strong history of tin mining which was very interesting. CC Golf club is a great challenge for those who enjoy the game and while not a course to challenge the more sought after venues, it was good value for money, with plenty of availability aswell as good food and helpful staff. For those who wish a busier option, St Ives is a short drive way with what seemed a plentiful base service based on the quantity seen.

Fantastic value for money, very quiet, well placed for visiting all the southern tip of Cornwall. St.Michaels Mount about 25-30 minutes, St.Ives about 20-25. Just remember how narrow some of the roads can be and enjoy

A great place to stay, and easy to find. Good walks along the coastal path, very close by. Large parking space. Lovely views. Good quality furnishings. A perfect spot for accessing other parts of Cornwall. Good local bus service. Pub with excellent food less than 5 minutes walk away.

Chypraze is finished to a high standard and the large window in master bedroom is stunning. But bring an eye shield if light wakes you up. There are most of the things you need in a cottage but the washing line isn’t finished yet and a few small nit picks. As it’s only just started being let out it’s not got many homely bits, ornaments and paintings around. It does have lots of parking and a bike store but bring your own padlock if you wish to lock it up. The location only a 5 minute walk from the coastal path was fabulous and only a short cycle into ST Just.

Reply from Aspects Holidays

Thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback following your stay at Chypraze. We are pleased you had a lovely stay, and enjoyed those great views from the bedroom. Your comments regarding the furnishing of the property, as well as a bike lock, has been passed to the owners, and they'll be able to take this into consideration for future improvements. We hope we can welcome you back to Cornwall again soon. Katy, Customer Services.

We were the first guests ever to stay in Chypraze, and we had a great time. The property itself is excellently furnished, beds etc are a very high standard and very comfortable. You can get straight on to the cliff path from the house, and several nights we went to watch the sunset and saw seals and dolphins off the cliffs. You can walk in 2 minutes to a great pub, or 15 minute walk into St Just. Various beaches are a short drive away, including some that were virtually deserted even in May half-term.
